Hey! Any chance you can add a "Share" button to your Captures section?

Being able to tweet out images of stuff would be neat.

Cheers.

I did the same. I have 3 of them around the house and was losing my mind why it wasn't working. Haha.

Just releasing the update beforehand would have been good. Plus it would have been something to have done whilst waiting for launch.

Indeed, something in the app to identify the version and notify to say that it is before a specific version would have been nice.

Lessons learned..

I believe it comes down to the version mentioned above. I have 3 other Ultras around the house and none would get an update beyond what the one that came with the Stadia has. My guess is that updates will roll out as it goes, which eases devices in and allows them to match support for them as they go..

In addition, you can get preview/early access to Chromecast updates, so maybe it is worth a try there?

"You can check if your Chromecast Ultra can run Stadia by checking if it's running version 1.42.180348 or above."

If you're using an existing Ultra, it probably won't work. Use the one that shipped with your Stadia. It baffled me at first. If you are, at least it rules it out.

I think I had something similar. Are you using the Ultra that came with your Stadia or an existing one you have? I was going mad at the linking device and it just hung for ages. Turns out the version of firmware that runs on packaged Ultra is higher and supports Stadia. Others don't have the update yet...

"You can check if your Chromecast Ultra can run Stadia by checking if it's running version 1.42.180348 or above."
