I think Google are shifting their focus to YouTube music, which I'm subscribed to. But I agree this would be a great addition.

@LekoPhantom as I said I think they're followed by Steam's footsteps if you've ever used that platform. So they are using the in game counter; 2 hours actually on the game, but I don't think there's any way for us to see that as of right now. I can imagine there is some leeway however, policies are just there to cover their backs after all.

I think as of right now the interest is to help build a platform that will be able to compete later down the line. In April/May time they will release the free tier which will allow people to use the service without the monthly fee.

I love the versatility and the instantaneous access to games. Free game every month is a bonus of course.

Hi @RickRol ,

Think of Stadia Pro as more like Xbox Live Gold rather than the game pass.

You get free games with Stadia every month, but once your subscription ends so does your access to the games you claimed as part of the subscription.

@Mode I imagine it's better to have it as it is for those unaware of the refund policy and those too lazy to bother to go through it. For customer experience, I agree this would be ideal. But for profit, I Think Google have followed Steam's lead on this one.

Hi Zach,

My understanding is that Destiny 2: the collection is available as part of the pro subscription providing a free game every month, the first month being exclusive to founders and premiere edition orders. When your pro subscription ends, so will your access to all free games claimed with Stadia Pro including Destiny 2: The Collection. As mentioned before, Destiny is now free to play across all platforms. So you will be able to continue to play Destiny 2 on Stadia, albeit without any of the free expansions that are given to you as part of your Pro subscription.

The only thing I would say is make sure you buy a TV with Game mode, and try and find a review online that tests the response time. My TV can't play twitch reaction games like Rocket League because of the slow response rate, even worse when not in game mode. Obviously the better the response rate the more expensive the TV gets!

There are a few games set to release before the end of the year, as well as the promise that we'll get a free game once per month. With those, and the fact Google brought in 10 extra games the weekend before launch I expect it'll snowball. Here are the games for this year for reference:
