@Ivan

Fair points. However, with many folks already having memberships to Steam, EPIC, Origin, MS GamePass, the free version is not all that appealing, because it's just another place I have to go to play a game, and remember where I bought what game(s) from.

I do like the idea of playing between devices from wherever I am and the future potential of this, but I think it's going to become a novelty that will lose its luster sooner rather than later. I've got a monster PC at home so I don't have issues pushing the limits of locally installed games, but for those that don't this might be an option. However, since I do, it's basically like paying $9.99 a month to rent a console/controller to wait and see what they post for users to play next. That and you own the games you buy, but presumably it'd be only for as long as Google keeps Stadia alive and supported.

Only time will tell I guess.

Ivan,

If I could recall, I'd tell you, but I honestly don't remember. Could have even been my brain conflating the two. Just doesn't make much sense to pay for a service when it doesn't, at least at the time, offer anything I'd be interested in. I'm sure the Pro library of included games will expand, and with the addition of Stadia free sub next year, might make it more viable, but staring at a total of 2 choices I don't care about and a list of games I could get elsewhere that have been out for some time now, just doesn't make sense.

Here's to hoping the go full steam ahead to beef up the library before they start losing people due to lack of options.

@GraceFromGoogle and @ChrisFromGoogle, Did I miss a massive part of the launch? I thought this was a gaming service that allowed subscribers to play the games the services provided as part of the monthly charge? (ALL 22 launch titles) Similar to Netflix, you would have access to all titles on the service, so long as you remain subscribed and if you cancel your subscription, the only titles that would remain, would be those that you purchased outright? I just logged in and see I have access to Destiny 2 Bundle and Shogun Showdown, and that's it! All other games are for standard prices with a couple on "Black Friday Sales"... Are you serious? $9.99 a month for two games I couldn't care less about? Am I missing something here?

Date Pre-Ordered: 6/7/2019
Time Ordered: 8:36 AM
TimeZone: EST
Model: Founder's Edition

Hardware: Shipped: 11/18/2019 (4:59 PM EST)
Delivered: 11/20/2019 (1:27 PM EST)

Invite Code: Promised: 11/19/2019 at launch time
Received: 11/20/2019 at 4:20 EST

Google's only saving grace is that my gamertag that I've had for the past 20 years wasn't taken. Your complete and utter mismanagement and near radio silence/misinformation spread by your staff will be the downfall of this platform from the start. We'll see how long this lasts, but I'm giving it 5 years at best. We've got 15 days to return the hardware and still get a return, we'll see if I even make it past that....

Do better, be better. I said it before and I'll say it again. Just because your the top dog, doesn't mean you can't get knocked down. Shape up or ship out. At this rate, Microsoft and their xCloud may help expedite the process as well....

Unfathomably Concerned Soon to be Ex-Fanboy

PMcG (WrathOfGod)

Hi, @GraceFromGoogle @ChrisFromGoogle , and everyone at the Stadia Team,

I ordered early morning of June 7th, my hardware will be delivered this afternoon and yet here I (and countless others) am without an Invite Code and with the promised early access to the service, for the ability to have priority gamer tag creation, all of which we shelled out north of $130 USD after tax for the privilege to do so.

So, how does Google and the Stadia Team make this right? Do you reset gamer tags on a specified date after all pre-orders have been confirmed delivered and Invite Codes confirmed as being sent, or are all of us getting the brown end of the proverbial stick here?

When can I (we) get out aforementioned, promised, Invite Codes. What is the confirmed delivery date for this? We no longer want vague estimates of "1-3 days, 3-5 days, X days after confirmed delivery of your hardware." All of which community members are hearing repeatedly from your staff.

Additionally, what is being done to expedite the delivery of these codes and to correct the supposed broken process that lead to the mismanaged "in order of purchase" queue for those of us that were the earliest of adopters, compared to some folks that just purchased their Stadia and have already jumped queue, received both hardware and invite codes, aren't running Founder's Editions, but are well on their way to finishing games by now. What is the definitive process for what you (Google/Stadia/both) are doing? Again, we no longer accept vagueness, we want hard outlined answers. We paid for your product, you did not deliver, we are the customer, you are not fulfilling the agreement set forth, and as such you are accountable to us, your customers, you clients.

If you guys would like a list to make it easier, please see below:

1.) What is the guaranteed delivery date that you stand behind for all Founder's Edition pre-order Customers Invite Codes? (As the service is accessible and usable even without the hardware)

2.)What explicitly is being done to address the failures in your store/shipping/invite code notifications/flow management process and what explicitly is these categories is the source(s) of the current state of affairs and missed promised deadlines?

3.) What, explicitly, are you (Google/Stadia/both) doing to compensate the customers you have breached your promised deadlines with?

Just because you are the top dog doesn't mean you can't get knocked down. Shape up or ship out. (Maybe also learn the Military's 7 P's)

Unfathomably Concerned Soon to be Ex-Fanboy,

PMcG
