Re: Stadia's Mediocre Graphical Prowess

I played metro last light redux last year on stadia's pro account as a free game. It looked average, like a last generation game. Textures were muddy and lighting was soft like a blur. A few months later during black friday, I purchased a budget gaming pc for $700 and played metro last light redux again. There was a huge difference in graphical fidelity. Every texture shimmered giving great detail. Crisp edges of rendered objects glimmered. For an older game from 2014, it looked gorgeous. My point is this, stadia should be a product for consumers who doesn't want to spend money on a high end gaming pc. It should have all settings turned up to maximum, especially for a game 7 years old. If you think the servers can't handle 4K, I don't need it. 1080p or even 720p is enough for me as long as every setting is in ultra. Better yet, et me lower the resolution and max out the graphical setting. An alternative solution would be to tune each game on a case by case basis. Older games which were released years ago, can use more graphical processing power compared to newer ones. When Stadia was announced, I imagined that I could play all games on ultra settings. This type of marketing angle, would attract all budget minded gamers such as console gamers. Google's greatest advantage over all other platforms ended up never being utilized. I wonder if Google executives even know what consumers want out of stadia.
