Hi my issue is the other way round: When I'm using WiFi everything is fine. When I'm using ethernet on my Chromecast Ultra (which is of course preferred) I have the crackling issue through the 3.5mm headphone jack on the controller.

I contacted support and chatted over 90 minutes with them and we could not solve the issue despite resetting the controller etc. They told me to use a different port at the router (LAN) or a different cable but it does not help.

It is so weird to me because the video stream is fine but the audio is crackling on Chromecast->LAN.

So for the moment, I use WiFi on my Chromecast Ultra and there seems to be no solution so far.

Hardware

Stadia Founders Edition Controller

Fritzbox 7590

Chromecast Ultra (ethernet=crackling, WiFi=no crackling)
