Mouse and Keyboard Support for mobile devices

When will there be Support for Mouse and Keyboard on mobile devices? iPad in this case. Gaming is no fun at all for me with a Controller. Slow and clumsy.

I do not own a private PC or Mac anymore and do not need one otherwise. I specifically wanted to try Stadia because I was hoping for this feature since gaming was the last thing I did on my PC. A year later and nothing happened.

I mean Stadia now works on Safari on an iPad. It works with mouse and keyboard in browsers on stationary devices, so where is the difference?

Please google, do it!

Regards

Yes, Chrome is alway up to date. Currently running 85.0.4183.121. I found that reddit thread after a few seconds, but I have spent hours on this. Incognito mode made not difference. Just tried everything again before writing this.

Remember, everything runs perfect when there is no input. That tells me this is no performance problem. Feels like the sent input data cloggs the upstream line.

I appreciate the effort tho. Seems I am the only one with this issue.

Control input problem

Hi everyone,

I use Stadia for a few months and it has never worked on Chrome. I already spent hours searching but noone seems to have the same problem as me.

System:

PC from 2014, was fairly strong at the time, still runs all games decently

Win 8

Completely fresh Chrome -> Installed -> Started Stadia

50 mbit/s fibre optics staight to house, Ethernet cable to PC

Everything runs perfect on Chromecast or Phone

Overall -> Perfect conditions for Stadia

Problem:

When there is no control input everything runs buttery smooth and looks great. That means there is no performance or settings issue.

Whenever I press a Button, move Mouse, the input is super delayed (!3-4 Seconds!) The picture becomes very pixelated. Entire seconds are dropped and skipped.

Same on Controller & Mouse/Keyboard. Not difference.

It feels like control inputs send too much data and the upstream is completely overwhelmed

When I stop inputs everything goes back to normal

Happens on every game

I have tried every chrome fix you can find online (deact. mouse acceleration, compatability mode, reset flags, force VP9, canary, ....)

Google support had no clue what to do

I am a bit frustrated because games are no fun with controllers (Its so slow and clumsy!!) and Stadia does not let me use a mouse on a mobile device. Would be perfect with Samsung Dex.

New computer is not an option because this was probably the last PC I ever bought. Until there is mouse support for the App I will probaby bury Stadia for now.

Regards!

Thanks for the input but Samsung Dex has pretty much replaced my PC anyway. Thats why I'm posting this in the app-thread. I was hoping Stadia was the last step of that transition.

Hi everyone,

I specifically went for Stadia over a console because it supports keyboard and mouse.

To this day I could not get it to work on my PC. Trust me, I have tried everything and spent many hours on it. Runs smooth with no input, stutter as soon as I press a button or move the mouse. No fix worked and I have given up.

(mouse accel, v sync, chrome flags, no extensions, incognito, force vp9, compatabilty mode, ethernet connection, canary browser, differnt keyboards and mouses and many more things)

But there is sadly no alternative. No mouse and keyboard support for chromecast, for Android App (Samsung Dex!) and it does not work with my tablet in the chrome browser even though phone and tablet work just fine with a mouse.

Is there a plan to extend the support for mouse gameplay? I have hardly any use for Stadia with a controller.
