I'm not entirely certain you fully read my post or stating exactly what I don't like about the process in the hopes you'll get Kudos.

Everything you mention doing is exactly what I don't like about the process. By setting your child's content to 18+, your nullifying the point of access by rating. I'm saying its a feature they implemented in the wrong way. As a parent, I want the peace of mind that by setting a rating I know generally he'll be safe with whatever content I purchase for myself, or get free from my pro sub, but then I'd like to allow him content based on what I deem appropriate. Doing it the we mentioned is basically self evaluating each game.

As a gamer, I can ultimately handle this as I have been already when allowing him to use my account. I'm just trying to affect positive change on a processes they've rolled out. This feature is done improperly and should be updated. As a "Gold Stadia Guide" perhaps you have suggestions on how to deliver feedback to the Stadia team.

Also here is the link for managing game access via the family link website. https://stadia.google.com/families then click on the user/child.

Hello! Long time Founder, first time posting here. Our family has been enjoying Stadia from day 1(ish) and I'm long over due for setting up my 8yo son's account.

I'm now setting up family sharing and disappointed to see how its been implemented. I like how you can filter content per ESRB, however, I cannot enable games that are outside of the preferred ESRB. For instance, again, he is 8yo so I'd like to set the ESRB as restrictive as possible at E, but I do want him playing his current favorite game Terraria. To get him access to this game, I'd need to crank it up to T, which potentially gives him access to all sorts of stuff. I should be able to ENABLE any game for him rather than needing to potentially give him access to content and then disabling it.

Could I just setup family sharing to disable all access and then enable the games I want him to play? Yeah sure, but then I'd need to do that per person on my family plan. I guess if youre going to goto the hassle of creating an ESRB filter at all, then it should function as I suggest. The way it is now almost makes it useless should you want to be more selective.

I'm sure no one who can do anything about this will see this post, but at least I can say I put it out there.
