Stadia controller connection issue

i connected my stadia controller directly to my tv and it said i have to connect it to my mobile app first but it is not connecting to my app. in the app it says no chrome cast device is ready to connect.

also my stadia controller connects directly to my tv before i can even connect to my app

The Stadia Controller should be connected to the mobile phone once to perform a software update

When that happens, you can link the Stadia Controller to the TV using the connection code that is displayed on the TV.

It is important that Stadia on TV currently only works with the Chromecast Ultra, not with the first Chromecast and also not with the new Chromecast with remote control

i have connected the controller to the app but it still says no chromecast devices are available to connect to the app. also i have reset the chromecast and tried but it shows the same
