Hay all does anyone know why the ccu Ethernet is capped to 35mb when most games spike on Wi-fi to 50mb ??? Think I know where the micro stutter comes from now the port can not keep up

Chromecast is basically a set-top box, so speed only influences image quality. The stutter is produced by the hardware that plays the content or in the case of a game it is engine or programming failure.

Hi @Lew775,

Don't think it is capped it has a 100 Mbps ethernet port.
But if I watch my Chromecast Ultra usage it doesn't get passed 30 Mbps but still playing at 4K.

And it plays just fine.

Don't know why WiFi would use more though.
