Ah well, it worked after quitting the app completely. I am going to try linking with family for the game invited for. Hope that works.

Hi all,

I am a pro subscriber sharing with my family. My son wants to play the games we have purchased through his own google account, however, when logging into stadia he is prompted to get a pro account. We obviously don't need 2 pro accounts in one household. What's the deal? how can he login to the free tier?

Hi @Alive76

It is not that obvious but if you go to a free to play game like Destiny 2 or Bomberman you can just play with the Google account you want.

https://stadia.google.com/games/destiny-2

https://stadia.google.com/games/super-bomberman-r-online

And then the shared games can be played as well from there? I can't check because I have the pro on my account

*edit* he says it works. Odd way of logging in.

Thanks for letting know it works.

Yes it is a strange way to get to the free plan but it works if you know it.
And correct if that email address is a member of your family the user should see al shared games including the pro games. The only thing it is not possible to play 4K / HDR / Surround sound because then Pro is needed.
