We have two controller stadia and two accounts. How is it possible to accept invite with the second controller and play toghether?

Do you have to have two accounts, to play any multi-player locally? Or, can you play off of one account? As an example; can I play my son in one game, with two controllers, on the same screen, all from my one account?
