You do not need an invite code at the moment. There is a 2 month free for all for everybody right now.

Just download the app and tap on "continue without code".

When I download the app on IOS and click on on my gmail account it takes me to a invite code screen the only option I see is unlock I don’t see an option to continue without code???

Same. Next screen tells me I cannot play without code so need to purchase.
