Boarderlands CoOp - Willing to Buy 2 Instances

We bought google stadia specifically for Boarderlands local co-op. I was super sad that this was not an option. If I buy 2 instances and fire one up in a laptop on the floor can we do that “split screen” thing that Google is boasting about in real time as a hack around to play on the same TV?

I asked Boarderlands directly but got crickets in the past month

Although it hasn't officially been said by Stadia, I bet this feature is not fully vetted yet, which is why Gearbox hasn't implemented it yet. I am a huge fan of local couch co-op myself. I've enjoyed the prior Borderlands plenty via split screen. And so, I continue to cross my fingers on a sooner than later.

Yeah I haven't bought borderlands 3 as well because of that local coop reason. Was sad to see that it's not available apparently for local coop.

As I haven't bought it, I am therefore unsure about the split-screen-option, so I hope that others here can help you with this question.
