Pro discount on already claimed games?

Question if you claimed a game on pro subscription Will you be able to buy the game later with non pro subscription?

Or get the chance buying it if the game is claimed but have a pro discount?

As of now all claimed games have no buy button....

But if a game like thumper got 50% off on pro discount I would actually want to buy it even with a pro subscription be able to play it with or without .

Yes they can be bought. I mean Tomb raider definitive edition was a Pro claim up to January 1st and now it can be bought. Have in mind that if you claimed a game and unsubscribe, it will be available again if you subscribe back. However, the games that were possible to claim during the time you were not subscribed won't be claimable retroactively.

But what happens if a game that been available for claiming becomes pro discount later?

Pro active pro subscription with already claimed game can not then buy it

@Nightcrow From their FAQ: What happens to my claimed games if I stop my Stadia Pro subscription? If you stop your Stadia Pro subscription, you'll lose access to the games that you claimed as part of Stadia Pro. If you later rejoin Stadia Pro, you will regain access to any Pro games you claimed in the past, but you won't be able to retroactively claim any games that had been offered while you were unsubscribed and are no longer available to claim.

That is actually a very good question! ,I hope someone from stadia take note. As you mentioned there is no "buy" button for already claimed games. But what if that game that you claimed gets a discount, let say regular price $59.99 but its discounted to %50 off, I would like to take advantage and purchase the game so i know is mine, mine!

That would be a great feature!

This does make definetely sense to offer a Pro discount on already claimed games for all players who always want to be able to play the game even if their subscription runs out.

I would appreciate that, let's see if Google makes this happen.

I see why you guys want it, but that kind of contradicts itself because those 2 benefits are part of the Pro subscription. You want it for free and want to buy it at a discount. Since there is a time limit to claim the free game, Google could offer it as a Pro discount after that claim period expires for those that missed it or purposely didn't claim it to purchase it for the future.

It's like the whole Tomb Raider Definitive Edition thing. It was offered as a Pro discount at launch and then it was offered as a free Pro game. Some people who bought it during the discount asked for a refund and some people are OK with it seeing the logic that when they cancel Pro they'll still own the game which they purchased at a discount.

Overall, I don't see Google letting you purchase a claimed game at Pro discount because they would very much like to keep your $9.99/mo for as long as possible. If you cancel your Pro, they're just as happy when you purchase a game at full price.

But what about games that have been offered as a free game as Tomb Raider Definitive Edition. It is no longer a pro free game any more. What if the game in 4 months time get a pro discount attached , should pro (already claimed) be able to buy it? And yes I bought Tomb Raider Definitive Edition and happy I did ( if I stop subscribe I still have the game)

It seems like a bug where Tomb Raider Definitive Edition disappeared from 'Your games' list but it's still there. I still have in my 'Your games' and someone mentioned that if you go to the store, browse 'All games' and you'll see it as Claimed and start playing from there.

Well, right now it's a no you can't buy a game if the game gets discounted in 4 months and you've already claimed it. So enjoy playing it until you cancel your Pro subscription.
