I'm kinda done with stadia.

I have bought/claimed every game I want to play on Stadia, and most of them I already played on ps4 even. (All tombraiders, fs19, metro exodus to name a few) It was nice while it lasted and I have all those games on 2 platforms now, that's a bit useless but hey I wanted to test Stadia, so there you go. But what's next? I expected that more games would be added and maybe even a few I didn't play before. But nothing... Borderlands III maybe... But just played Borderlands vr and have enough of Borderlands for now to be honest. With this rate of adding games there is a chance I'll completely forget about Stadia all together. Tl;Dr works great, but need moar games! More people with this "problem"?

@Flagg : I'm more of a casual gamer, so happy to jump on Stadia when it suits me. The subscription is there for the kids and they like it a lot already, so happy enough. Sure more games would be nice, but its still early days and that doesn't bother me yet.

I’m really loving Stadia. With Destiny, The two tomb raiders plus I bought Grid and RDR2 I’ve got more than enough to go on for now. My biggest concern is Google making sure they get enough users in the next year to make this a really big thing - I’d be gutted if it didn’t work out. Probably for most people that means a lot more exclusive or brand new games need to be added though I agree...

I'm not done yet but I understand completely. I give it until mid february to check if they provide a Stadia connect to announce more games and bring the missing features. In the meantime I should have completed the games i claimed and should have no reason to remain a pro member if Google remains silent.

I’m 100% with you. I played and enjoyed D2 a lot, but now days I can’t stand the waiting time to get into a PvP match so I have given up.

I have no interest in (re)play all old games and the very few newer game’s are of no interest to me. I have canceled me subscription and will not start playing on Stadia if they don’t step up. The few games I “loose” is old I will never replay or garbage (looking at you Farmer sim 19) so I don’t bother.

EDIT Also, Googles lack of communicating their next steps makes it hard to believe in the system. It like they don’t know what they are doing or what they are supposed to do.

Totally agree, I understand people saying "my sons are Happy" or "I am a casual gamer and that fits perfect to me". It would fit better for you too if the service would be better... Honestly it seems that Google is not investing on Stadia that much and this is quite sad for everyone that believe in the project. I think Stadia is a great idea with great potentials, but if Google wants to proceed so slowly no-one will remain to play Stadia and also the "casual gamer" will stop to use it because they will delete the project... With only casual gamers they can't sustain the costs of this service.

We need a growing library with 10-15 new games x month at this point... Not 10-15 x year. We need corss-play for online multiplayer games that are desert at the moment on Stadia... We need aggressive marketing strategy to attract more users in Stadia and to suggest our friends to join us on Stadia.

Actually it is the lack of updates and information, that made me think of freezing my subscription (3 weeks from last community update is not inspiring confidence).

Stadia is more and more feeling as a half baked attempt, what should have been a really good cake is now instead dripping on the floor in your living room.

But I do hope I am proven wrong because Stadia do have potential and I will wait until the last day until I decide if I will cancel my subscription.

As a destiny mainer I'm really happy with nothing, as long as there destiny.

On crossplay, I'm really against that stadia offers a totally fair environment where everyone is equal in terms of connection etc there no lag abusers like other platforms plus if we played against people with game local they got about 50ms less ping than us which can be crucial being competitive, wouldn't mind cross play for certain games like ESO or dark souls but not fps.

As for matchmaking times on destiny I find a control game within a minute, find strikes find the 6 player sundial thing easy too and see people everywhere, it's decent for this stage.

Totally agree they need to get this out there though, do tours of shopping centers or conventions anything that lets people experience that it works firsthand instead listening to influencers who are 50/50 on hate like, how people supposed to go with them with so many different opinions.

I think giving up is crazy... at the same time, I TOTALLY understand, lol. Like @Mad_Dog_Bravo I'm a casual user of this platform and gaming in general. I don't have any kids I just don't have a lot of time. So for me this actually works well... I pick up the controller when I want, play a little and move on. I also think it's great to throw the controller in my bag when I head out and don't know what my day is going to be like. So if I get a chance I can just plug up my phone and play.

For serious gamers, and YouTubers, what's here so far is just not enough. And I know it's early, and I believe there's a lot coming and I think $9.99 is going to be a killer price if Google can deliver on most or all of what they promised.

That's the next 2 problems. 1) Google -I don't think they can. They just don't seem serious. The forums aren't well supported, information doesn't come out enough about what's coming and when. The last "Stadia Community Round-Up" post was before Christmas. The last "This Week on Stadia" was 2 weeks ago. When a game has problems, Google blames the developers software, and the developers blame Stadia's quirky platform specs. Speaking of developers... 2) Developers - They also don't seem to have bought in to Stadia. The prices are pretty high compared to some other platforms. Even the Pro Sales, which are pretty good, are high when the developers offer sales on other platforms. I mentioned this before, but Ubisoft had AC Odyssey Ultimate Edition recently for $42 on their own store, while it was still $119 here. Just this week CDPR has a pre-order sale for CP2077 on their site for all platforms... except Stadia. So the major developers haven't seemed to buy in to Stadia fully, and that's what the real problem is going to be going forward.

If developers just view Stadia as a place to dump their games at full price, and don't offer pre-order and sale prices like they do on other sites, how can Stadia succeed? Even on Twitter, I asked @Typhoon_MTL (The studio Google bought) if Journey to The Savage Planet is going to come to Stadia... no response. (You can't DM them either, only @ them on their public feed). So it just seems like the developers don't believe in Stadia either.

STILL... with all that said. I'm willing to hang around for $9.99 and see where it goes. Aside from the initial investment of $129, we haven't paid anything yet. We've gotten 6 games "free", some decent discounted games if you wanted them, and a bunch of buddy passes. And we should get 1 or 2 more games before the subscription kicks in. So I hope they improve, if they don't they're going to fail. But for $9.99 I think I'm willing to stick around and see if they fail or not.

Well besides of all the known issues e.g. lack of games, high pricing and the fear of no devs committing to the platform there are also issues with gaming on the road. Currently I‘m tied to a chromecast in case of playing on a TV - while this might work out being at home - I can‘t use it in hotel with captive portal. Same goes for any other device except Pixel phones. So in a nutshell the only place I can play is at home - at least for me. Sure, at some point in time Stadia will be available to other devices etc. but the ongoing lack of information just kills it for me right now. To be fair enough I do not need a weekly-update but some sort of roadmap would be much appreciated.

Personally I cant complain too much at the moment, I am still getting a lot of play time out of Destiny 2 and GRID.

It's understandable to stop your subscription if you're done with the free games and there is nothing right now that you're interested in playing. The beauty of it is you can cancel now and pick it back up if and when there is something on there that you want to play. While there isn't a massive library of games yet I don't think it's *that* bad for a few months in, Google are investing money into it, they've acquired a games studio or two as well, so the games will come.

Personally I'm enjoying it immensely, I hadn't played Destiny 2 before and being able to drop into it using my TV, Chromebook or at lunch at work is great and I don't mind replaying the Tomb Raider games.

My only criticism, which seems to be a common theme is lack of information from Google on the future (as mentioned, they're probably developing some new games, just let us know about it!) and what I think is terrible marketing, for what little of it there is out there. Otherwise, I'm a big fan and I hope its a success.

Games are to old and way to expensive

I will not extend my subscription and cancel it

It was a try for me and a complete failure

Will play on my Pc (where the games are just half the price, and newer)

no one is going to stick with stadia the community is weird it's mixed with ultra casuals and people who post pictures of the menu of the stadia screen like it's food.

Even when it goes free i don't see anyone jumping in where you can play with millions of other players on PC or other consoles, you won't want to get well established games on STADIA.

they are SUCH desperate need for a first party game it's not funny - they need their OWN version of Destiny or Monster hunter - some sort of MMO that people HAVE to play that is only available on their platform.

They need to create their own halo basically shooter games seem to be a massive draw

and RPG games

get the snapping STADIA.

For me as casual gamer I thought Stadia could enhance and complete switch...

Turns out switch i so much more portable and versatile ( as of yet)

Was a week away+ from home with family, and Stadia pulled the shortest straw on playability.

And I still have the same feeling at work and away from home ,I only play Stadia on Chromecast from the living room( feels like 75% of what is Stadia was promised is missing)

@Skywalker i kind of disagree, i think the fact you have no download, no patch, and immediate play is dope It is a convenient concept to play in your browser. Look, my computer has a 512 gb SSD. There is no way i'll ever want to waste 150gb to dl a game. I dont even want to know how much space can use next-gen games... If google does things right (like adding missing features and bringing a **bleep**loads of games) i will gladly use it over any local pc or console. If Google fails I guess I'm going for another cloud system.

I like the streaming game very much. I am a casual player
Given the lack of hardware, I think I will rely more and more often on Cloud Gaming.
Stadia was my first experience and I am very happy about it ... I had promised myself not to buy games on stadia until the service became solid and established .. but in the end I gave in and I bought two games.
For now I will continue to pay for the subscription to Stadia PRO but I'm sure I haven't married him.
I will continue to keep an eye on other cloud gaming too ... and in the end I will choose the best one.
I hope Google can make the right moves even if lately the lack of updates I consider it very serious.

Google's radio silence pisses me off so much! You just don't know what to expect. I've decided if they don't announce some AAA titles till February I am done as well
