On the one hand, we have the simplicity of click and instant play. On the other hand, the UI doesn't promote a knowledge base of what restrictions apply and what to do for improvement that is "seamless". I know at least 3 people who got turned off from Stadia simply because of resolution issues and the game menu was rather ghetto.

It's an odd combination because they are working on those features that push the capability but the entry-level introduction is seemingly gone.

Android: 4K HDR (no video or audio chat)
But we do not have a button to do it from TV, you must manage from a mobile and it does not allow webcam or microphone.

PC: 1440p (HDR not possible)
If you broadcast 4K without HDR, YouTube lowers the resolution to 1440p, and we do not have these available on PC.

Party Stream 1080p (you can't play at more than that quality)
I just did a quick test of party stream and... if I play in 4K on my PC I can't share screen, it tells me to lower the broadcast quality to 1080p... if I pay Pro I can't broadcast in maximum quality on PC well It lowers it to 1440p... and if I do a party stream on top of that, I have to play at even lower quality (I know that when streaming at a higher quality, even on YouTube, more delay is added due to the processing involved).
I still have to stream from a device that supports HDR (you can't on PC) to be able to show someone something in 4K :/.

Could someone with knowledge provide official documentation or if this should work like this? Because, it is too confusing for the user who pays for a subscription to Stadia Pro but cannot take full advantage of it.

I don't know if this is something temporary or something permanent, but it prevents me from doing it.

What would be the most appropriate way to use the product? I have about 300 videos on Stadia, especially prioritizing 4K, but every time they announce something, more small rough edges appear that have not yet been resolved.

Most of this information had already been provided a long time ago both here and to support without a clear answer. It would be good to clarify it to prevent the media from giving bad publicity saying that the product does not work properly.

@Blackgem You brought some really good points. Unfortunately I don't have a 4k display so can't really test, but this help article seems to imply that it's possible to archive up to 4k, so I would assume streaming in 4k should be supported as well. Perhaps there's some configuration on YouTube side that needs to be done?

https://support.google.com/stadia/answer/9825342

As for official documentation regarding party stream, I'm also still looking. Will update here if I find anything about it. So far we have the official announcement in this community that states that streaming HDR and up to 4k is supported
