Stadia queries

Ive bought a Google stadia premiere edition for Christmas would i still get destiny 2 if I redeem it on Christmas day? Any members of the community?

@Chufu can you help now and see if its still there?

Good question @Fmmw2005. At the moment there is no expiring-date given by Google for Destiny 2. The only thing you can find in the help center is "As a Stadia Pro subscriber, you can claim and keep free games each month."

Therefore it can also be that - as Google announced for the 1st December - when Farming Simulator 19 and Tomb Raider:Definitive Edition are coming out, that the other two free games from November 2019 (Destiny 2 and Samurai Shodown) are not claimable anymore.

But it can also be, that the games are still claimable then.

Maybe the Stadia Support does know more about this?

Thanks for asking @Fmmw2005, I had some trouble (with the carrier of the package of my founder's edition) before, so I did set up my Stadia on Tuesday and tried with my BF together Mortal Kombat 11 and a bit Samurai Shodown.

So far I can say that the setup process was pretty easy (as soon as you figured out how to combine the second controller), so the longest part of the setup was the download of the updates for the chromecast and the controller. The controller fits the hand very nice (never played console before though).

The playing part was pretty simple, you can directly choose the game you want on Stadia on TV and play it instantly. We had some lags in between some fights, but as we don't know if this was because of our internet connection or Stadia or the game itself, I would not blame it on Google for the moment. We had a lot of fun though with trying out these games, so I look forward with a great motivation to other games. Especially Farming Simulator and Tomb Raider. I still need to try out Destiny 2 though as I heard that game has some more lags, so we'll see.

We assume Destiny 2 and Samurai Showdown will remain up till mid-December. I highly suggest you try to use the code before then to grab these.

Thanks @Chufu, sounds good I might see if I can redeem the code a bit earlier, but I'll have to persuade my mum to let me.

But thanks anyway I hope they add more games soon and I'd like to see the games they're making themselves.

I think I read that due to Stadia coming out mid-month, the November freebies will remain free throughout December, alongside the 2 additional titles added for December itself. So you should be able to claim all 4 games with your Pro sub on Christmas Day.

@Fmmw2005 the problem for me is, that I can still see Destiny 2 there, because I claimed it already, so it's always shown for me. I can't really see if it would be still available if I would not have it.

Guess the easiest thing to do, is to ask someone who hasn't claimed it yet, but who could that be?

It's only there because it can still be redeemed by everyone, it will vanish from the Pro section once it can no longer be redeemed, this is how Xbox and PlayStation work as well.
