Dualshock 4 - dpad issue when playing on Chromecast with google TV

I am playing MK 11 thought my Chromecast with Google TV and a PS4 DualShock Controller connected via Bluetooth.

The issue is that when I press the Dpad plus a geometric button at the same time, the Dpad button does not work. For example, an uppercut is done arrow up + triangle, but only the triangle is registered. It is the same for any other combination.

I don't have this problem with the analogue pad or with the dpad when I play via Web in my laptop, so it's not a hardware issue.

Any solution?

Sorry to hear about that @RodMtl - Does the same issue happen when you play a different game but using the same controller and CCwGTV setup? I'm just trying to figure if it's a game issue or more of a platform issue.

I'm having the same problem with a xbox series controller and my chromecast with Google tv when I play bloodstained and I jump with the a button while holding the dpad button left or right my character stop moving the dpad direction is not registering while pressing another button then I can' t jump left or right because of this and with the analog stick this is working fine but I need the dpad for my combos so this is annoying .on my pc it' s working fine

Hi guys,

i have the same problem with my ps4 controller and mk11. Very annoying, i should use stick instead of dpad.

I tested on my sony android tv and samsung android tablet. Both has same issue.

However, when i used stadia virtual controller on my tablet everything is fine. So i dont think its about game issue.

Hey, apologies I never replied to you.

I only have another game on Stadia (Destiny 2), but is hard to tell because if there's an issue there I don't have a command where I have to press the Dpad plus the geometric buttons.

I see this problem is happening to more players, so It could be good to know if there's a fix ongoing.

I tested phone link on my samsung tablet and issues was there. Only virtual keyboard works good.

Guys, ive just played mk11 today and everything worked perfectly. I can combine dpad woth buttons and the problem has resolved.

I play on sony android tv by two ps4 controller which connected directly to tv.
