Change your Stadia email without losing your data

What if you want to change your email? What if you can't access your email anymore or it was stolen?

Well, changing your email without losing your data would be a great idea. I just talked to a very kind man from the support center. I tried to change my email because the one that I have now is worthless (besides the fact that isn't worthless on Stadia because we all have progress on our game) but the support can't do anything for us if we want this.

They told me to come here on Stadia Community to tell all of you about my problem. I'm telling you, it's a game-changer for Google Stadia.

What do you think people?

Your Stadia account is tied to your Google account. If you lose access, you just need to go through the Google Account recovery process.

@7Snake7 just to be clear, are you trying to change the email address associated with your Stadia account? If that's the case, I don't believe it's possible right now.

And the support agent that recommended you to come here, it's not Stadia support is it?

In your Google account, you can add an alternate email to access our Google account. Not sure about deleting your email but I have Stadia but no Gmail account.

I agree Stadia needs to allow this... before streaming directly to YouTube, i manually uploaded my captures to one YouTube account. When streaming directly to YouTube feature came out i couldn't stream to that account because it's a whole different email account and i didn't want to stream to my YouTube channel tied to my stadia gmail account so i had to create another youtube account. Tldr: if it sounds like this is a cluster duck it's because it is. Allow us to migrate our gmail account on Stadia.

my email is not gmail, and i need to change my email address, because i change internet provider, so i will lose my email address that came with it soon
