slow evening connection on stadia

Hi,

before you say that this is my isp /network problem i am going to show you these speedtests made in the meantime on stadia speedtest and on my isp speedtest (anyhow it's the same value on other site tests, also "mlab" ) :

The issue:

- it starts every evening from more or less 8.30 pm to 11.15 pm; other online games work normally in the evening, other speedtests are ok. ONLY the stadia speedtest goes down and all games become not playable..

- in the other parts of the day, except evening, the stadia service goes well (?)

I have followed all the faqs: hardware acceleration on browser, changed device, cable/wifi 5ghz , changed mtu, open ports, reboot modem, changed browser, changed tcp settings from powershell console..

i live in Italy, near to Milan. I think that this is some stadia issue maybe not collecting correctly the datas on evening..i am finishing the ideas anyhow ;(

Did you see the same issue on WiFi and Ethernet? Did you test on other devices?

Did you try the article-troubleshooter https://support.google.com/stadia/answer/9595943?hl=it ?

Did you change the quality of resolution on settings? Same results? What ping do you record at that specific time?

hello,

yes: same results on cable and Wi-Fi, changed the resolution on 720..always lag, my smartphone has the same results in that time, ping? if I remember right from the test of my ISP it was around 23

Hi @DocSam,

I had the same issue with my internet provider (ISP) but they solved it after some research on their side.
If you play on your mobile device using mobile data are you still having this issue?

Hope we will find a solution.

hei :), I have contacted them many times but from their side.. they see that the speedtest is ok.. what have your isp changed to solve this issue? Do you remember it? Here in my home are come 3 different techniques of the line, but all is OK from my side...

Sorry missed this somehow.
Did you test it with your mobile phone using Mobile data?

And are you able to play Stadia without issues during the day?
They way I fixed it is by contacting my ISP and they sent over some mechanics to check things.
Also I provided them with Speed result (speed and latency) over serval point of the day while connected to a ethernet cable.
Then we found out when people arrived from their work started using streaming services the load on the local infrastructure was some kind of overloaded.
They upgraded the local infrastructure and now all is fixed...

- during the day and night, i have no issue with stadia

- mobile data also gives low result

Hi @DocSam,

You should try to reach out to your ISP and let them know what is happening.
I am afraid the speed is not the crucial part about the internet connection.
It is the quality that matters...
