Well this is a good start. Cannot play anything, just get this error in the first couple of seconds after launching a game Have seen a few people posting about this. Wasn't annoyed at all about the delay in the code, or the late arrival of the hardware.. all good with that But when i get it i should be able to play some games at least. I've activated my account now and am into the 3 months that i've pre-paid for.. As a now paying customer who's losing out on a service, I can say I'm entitled to be a little annoyed. Sad times

@Swampy Can you provide more info? Where are you playing the game from (phone, Chrome browser, TV)?

Am playing on Chromecast Ultra on the TV. All connects fine, loads up the game, then gives me the error. It shuts down and stadia closes (taking me back to the chromecast ambient screen).

The controller also disconnects at this point

Same thing with me on the Chromecast with the stadia controller. The game loads fine but when I connect the controller I get the fatal error.

I found a possible solution. You MUST use the Chromecast given with the founders edition. You cannot use any other Chromecast Ultras. I can now link properly.

Ohhh.. ya know what. I work in technical support and have no idea why I didn't try that! I'm using my existing chromecast ultra.

Will try this as soon as I get back from work.

Kicking myself hard now..

Does anyone understand why it wont work with an existing CCU? Or has anyone had any success out there?

Managed to update my CCU which fixed the issue! Woohoo! Loving it now it's working. Thanks all
