Does the screen just go black with zero response?

This is more likely caused by a drop in your Internet connection. I would contact your ISP and ask them to monitor the line for cutouts and drops for a week, to see if this fixes it.

Stable Internet, consistently, is what Stadia thrives on, even more than fast Internet.
