Saving a split screen game in Serious Sam?

Hey guys,

Last night me and a friend played 5 full hours of Serious Sam and because we were tired we exited the game thinking we would be able to continue the game next day. But to our horror all the progress of the game had been lost and we now have to start playing the whole gig again.

Does anyone know how to get around this? How to save the progress in a game?

From what i've seen there is no way to save in coop. You should be able to play from whatever map you left off on, but will lose all your items you picked up theoughout previous ones.

yea wtf my coop has lost all mods and skills i collected for 3h.
