Buying Buddy Pass

Hey Stadia-Team,

Last year i was too impatient to wait for Stadia to go live for the general public and because i did not have enough money at the time to order Founders/Premiere, i bought a buddy pass from one of the many sellers on eBay.

Now that I have spent quite some money on my account for Pro subscription and games, I am wondering, If my account is actually legit or if I should create a new one before I buy more... Just to be safe.

The question is: was i actually violating any terms with buying a Buddy Pass? Thanks.

If it gives you any comfort, I can’t see how they could tell who bought and who was gifted a buddy pass, so I don’t think you need to worry at all. I was a founder and you just emailed the code to a friend to give them access. I don’t see any way how they could track if that was sold since it would still just have been emailed to you!
