Stadia couch co-op (Borderlands 3)

Looking at previous questions from around the end of 2019, I see that couch co-op was not possible for borderlands 3. Is this still true? Is there somehow a way that I can play this locally with my friends?

Bad news, it says that there is online co-op, not local. Looks like Stadia isn't getting local co-op for borderlands 3.
