Each to their own, but I personally prefer gaming companies NOT to overly collect Biometric data on me. Link this to the fact they would have to read, cross reference and examine biometric data for each person using a gamepad in a household and i think you would have a PR disaster in simply getting the patents and technology to be adopted.

Even in a global pandemic.

That's way too much data to willingly give out. You'd have a lot of privacy concerns and where that data is going/sold to.
