Controller responsiveness

My issue is related to the response of my controller, specifically the R1 an R2 buttons. I play destiny 2 and in using a sword (I've tried various with the same result) during damage phases after 4-5 button presses the controller becomes unresponsive for a few seconds. This only happens with sword use an only when I'm playing on my CCU connected to my TV. This happens 100% of every time I try it.

My setup is a wired connection CCU to 1G up 1G down fiber. Wireless control of course. Game runs ultra smooth an this is my only hiccup at the moment.

I've seen others have a similar experience but I wasn't sure if there was an actual fix to this issue or if it's even a CCU related issue.

Anyone have any feedback on this?

Sorry to hear about the issues with the R1 and R2 buttons You might have already tried this but the only thing I can think of is to try and factory reset the controller and the CCU.

Does the whole controller become unresponsive or only those buttons after they've been mashed? The same controller behaves normally when playing on Chrome?
