How do I use the Stadia controller as a microphone?

I can hear my friend playing from her PC, but she can't hear me. We're trying to play Destiny 2.

at the moment, the controller's microphone is just for Google Assistant. Please see https://support.google.com/stadia/answer/9338851?hl=en.

You have to use the headphone jack to connect a microphone. E.g. the one from your Pixel / Android / iOS smartphone.

However, when I plugged in a headset (with a mic on the cord), I could still only hear, and my friend couldn't hear me.

Is there some setting to turn on mic, once it's plugged in? Is it push to talk? And if so can I disable it so mic is always on?

I've been having this use as well. I can hear players talk but they can't hear me while playing division 2. I've played with the settings and still stuck on forever mute.

Hi @Kiubi,

On what device are you playing and what kind of headset do you have plugged in you Stadia controller?

I got it running a while back with a wired headset that came with a smartphone.
