This is about right according to what I've always got. Yeah, it's low compared to some other controllers but none of those other controllers have to communicate over wifi constantly (big battery drain compared to Bluetooth LE).

Hi

Issue #stopped counting my now. I charged my controller all night last night, gamed this morning, then this afternoon about 6/7 hours and i get a controller charge warning.

The double aa batteries in my xbox controller lasts about 3 days to be exact. This cannot be the battery life of the stadia controller can it? Or am i missing something with the charging of this controller?

Same issue. I don't want to spread any misinformation but I believe that the microphone is always on just as on any other Google product. Even it they say otherwise.

Another problem is that it has no internal charging control. Whether you charge it with 10% capacity or 90% capacity, in both cases it will charge three to four hours.

Thats why they give a warning in the manual not to charge it overnight, because obviously the controller could overload a battery which is recharged with too much capacity left.

The controller is really just made to produce waste and generate constant rebuys. Should have designed it like the Xbox controller, where you can use your own rechargable batteries and charge them external.

My controllers have a similar battery life. I realized that early on and simply have a 2nd controller charging while I use the other one. If you want them to last longer turn off the vibration for the controller in whatever game your playing. Your xbox controller may last 3 days on AA batteries but thats still AA $$ you have to spend, while the Stadia controller is rechargeable. If its still a deal breaker for you, remember Stadia is so awesome that you can use your Xbox controller with Stadia too.

With ideal situations it could last a maximum of 10 hours.
But you are right that it will get you up to around 6 - 8 hours of gaming.

It needs some more charging as some controllers but please note it is not healty to game that amount of hours in one continues game session.
