I have constantly had problems getting my Stadia controllers to connect via WiFi using the Linking Codes. It works most of the time, but sometimes I can't get it to connect without rebooting my device. I recently got the Luna controller and all it takes to connect it is to simply launch a game. There is no need for any Linking Codes. If I launch a game, the controller will automatically connect on its own. If I switch to a different device, then the Luna controller will connect to the new device as soon as I launch a game from the new device. Can you please update the Stadia controllers to connect in this same way? The Luna controllers also have Bluetooth enabled so I can connect them to my PC to play on other devices, and can still connect via WiFi when I use it to play Luna. I would love to have the same convenience of the Luna controller on the Stadia controller. Please & Thank you!

I don't have Luna, but this feature sounds so much better than Stadia's linking codes... The thing that really annoys me is when i turn on the controller it automatically turns my TV on and launches Stadia. While 95% I am using Chromecast to play, it annoys me when i go to play on another platform. And i reckon it will annoy men even more when i get my second TV running Stadia - the controller will just assume which TV I want to play on!!!

@tjbadger92 That drove me nuts too, but I found out that you can force the controller to re-enter linking mode when you turn it on so that it won't assume which TV you want to play on:

https://support.google.com/stadia/answer/9565956

When the Stadia Controller is off, press and hold the Stadia button for three seconds until it vibrates twice.

Note: This can be useful when switching screens wirelessly to another device. For example, when switching between your TV and computer.

So instead of holding the button for one second to turn it on, I hold it for three to enter linking mode and I can then connect it to whatever screen I happen to be using - without it trying to hijack the TV that my wife is streaming Netflix on.
