Gamepad error on Mac

So I'm trying to play PUBG on my Macbook Air using the default keyboard and a mouse. Every time I try getting the game to start up it shows and error that my gamepad is not compatible. What can I do to fix this?

Hi @ExDoctor13

you have to use a gamepad if you want to play this game. The keyboard controls are disabled. Sorry.
