Thank you. I have already tried this. It appears to be an issue with EE and a pixel 3a phone.

My wife and I both have Pixel 3a phones with an EE contract. Stadia over the EE network has always got stuck on checking your connection on both phones. It works perfectly over WiFi and if I put my SIM in a Huawei p8 lite 2017 this works too. It must be a setting in the Pixel 3a using EE to stop this working. Has anyone found a solution please?.

@Cednar Which version of the Stadia app on your Pixel 3a? Have you checked the Play Store and make sure there's no more update available? Also, have you enabled the "use mobile data" option on your Pixel 3a phone? For more details you can check the following article:

https://support.google.com/stadia/answer/9609786?hl=en#zippy=%2Cwireless-connection

Play Stadia using mobile data

To play Stadia when your mobile device isn't connected to a Wi-Fi network, open the Stadia app and turn on the "Use mobile data" option in your Performance settings. This setting will only take effect on the device you set it on, and you can turn it off at any time. If you experience quality issues with your stream, it's recommended you turn off this option.

Tip: If you're playing on an iOS device and don't have access to a Wi-Fi network, choose Up to 720p (mobile data optimized) to optimize your stream quality. When you reconnect your device to Wi-Fi, remember to change your Performance settings back to Up to 720p or Up to 1080p to resume normal data usage.

Update. This is currently now working. I was testing connecting with a IPV6 APN only connection then disconnecting and reconnecting with a APN IPV6/IPV4. I am not sure if this is the reason it is now working or if EE or Google have made a change. If I do not enter anything else here then it's fixed.
