Hey @Idris, Did you buy it through the Google Store? That's a requirement to get the refund. If so, then all you need to do is wait for the email from Google that the refund has failed, but you can also check in the meantime with the bank just in case they have gotten your refund somehow. The email can take 1-2 weeks though, just so you're aware. More info about the Stadia refunds you can also find here: Stadia Announcement FAQ

Hey @Krayphsyh, I understand your situation, but unfortunately the Google Play Credit can't be transferred or paid to another payment method. JamesfromGoogle confirmed this also here. Therefore the Google support couldn't help you with it either, otherwise they would have offered you another solution.

Hey @Ardennes, I would recommend you to first check on pay.google.com about the amount you paid for the game. It should state there if you click on the transaction how much you actually paid back then for it (e.g. also if you used a voucher or similar). So that way you can check if there's any reason for the 0,00 EUR refund. Also double check the email you've received as well to see if there was any hint about it. If you can find out that you should receive 50,00 EUR and that's also what you can see on pay.google.com, then it's probably best to wait a bit longer, Google is processing all refunds at the moment. If they fail, you would get an email with instructions on how to provide an alternate payment method. If the refund is successfull, then you can check with the payment method issuer if they have received the money somehow. Hope this helps!

Hey @stuntbelly, Can you see these two games on pay.google.com and can you check there if the status says "refunded"? If not, probably best to wait longer, Google is still not done with all the refunds. You can also double check your emails, maybe these two emails got lost in an email-conversation or got in the spam or similar. If it looks like the refund is done (e.g. if you can see them refunded on pay.google.com) you can also get in touch with the bank to see if they have any idea where the refund went or if they got it. Checking with Stadia support should really be the last option, they are super busy atm and it's not a guarantee they can help you at this point, since refunds are still being processed until Jan 18, 2023.

Hey @Squeak_Easy. did you check already with your bank? If PayPal states they have put the refunds into your bank account, the bank should have received them, maybe worth to poke that way or telling them you want an official dispute to open about it? In my case I got lucky with my PayPal refunds, but you have a lot more PayPal orders, so maybe something went wrong on the end from PayPal to the bank by the sound of it. Just an idea here from me in your particular case.

You can also all check on pay.google.com if the status next to your games shows "refunded", just to be sure. If they do, then also check with your banks if they have received the refund somehow. If not and the refund would fail, then you would get an email from Google with further instructions on how to provide an alternate payment method. I noticed in my particular case btw that the other refund emails I was missing were all together in one email-conversation in Gmail, that's why I didn't spot them in the first place.

Hey @rbmcky, You can check with your bank in this case. If the refund went through successfully even though your payment method is inactive/expired now (refund can still take up 3-5 days, sometimes even longer), then the bank may have received the money. In case the refund is not successful, you would get an email from Google to ask you to provide an alternate payment method. Q: I no longer have the form of payment I used to make the purchase. How will I get a refund? A: In many cases, the banking institution will still accept the refund, and we recommend that you reach out to them to receive your funds. If the banking institution does not accept the refund, we will email you with instructions on the steps you’ll need to take to receive your refund. Source: Stadia Announcement FAQ Hope this helps!

Hey @FarFarAwayShrek, You can first check yourself on pay.google.com if the refunds were actually successful. If they were, but you still haven't received anything, then Google recommends to first get in touch with your bank to see if they somehow got your money. In case the refund is not successful, you would get an email from Google to ask you to provide an alternate payment method. And if the refund just takes very long, but doesn't arrive even though it's shown as refunded, you could also consider getting in touch with the Stadia team, but they are super busy right now, so it's not easy to get through. Technically it would be probably best to wait a bit longer then, because all refunds should be processed by Jan 18, 2023, so you could still give it a week or two more before reaching out to them. More info you can also find in the Stadia Announcement FAQ Hope this helps!

Google mentioned they are aiming to processing all refunds by Jan 18, 2023 so there's still some time left for your games to be refunded. Hardware (Google Store) refunds have not yet begun, so those will definitely start at a later point. With the rest of your purchases as long as they are made in the Stadia Store, you should get a refund for it as per FAQ.

Waiting is probably the best in your case @whoburnthetoast, because if the refund will fail you'll get an email from Google with instructions on how to provide an alternate payment method. Especially since you have confirmed it with the bank as well it sounds like the refunds will fail at the end. I heard from other users it can take up to 2 weeks for the email to arrive, so just be patient and once it arrives provide the new details according to the instructions. Google also mentioned they want to proceed all refunds by Jan 18, 2023, so there's still some time left, so no need to panic.

Yeah @VECTION, In that case most likely the refund will fail and then you'll get an email with instructions how to provide an alternate payment method. Can still take some days though, but since Google said refunds will be processed the latest until Jan 18, 2023, there's still some time left, so probably best in that case to wait and see if the email arrives. About the "refund declined" message that you see, I am not sure what it means or why it was declined, but you can double check as well on pay.google.com if the status there does also show as refund declined. Maybe it's also an idea to double check if these two items are not getting refunded because Google didn't state that you'll get a refund. They said "We will be offering refunds for all Stadia hardware purchases (Stadia Controller, Founder's Edition, Premiere Edition, and Play and Watch with Google TV packages) made through the Google Store and software transactions (games and add-on purchases) through the Stadia Store. Stadia Pro subscriptions are not eligible for a refund. However, you can continue playing your games in Pro without further charges until the final wind-down date." Maybe that helps you a bit to narrow done the decline reason.

Usually it takes 3-10 days if the money goes to a bank account, but the timeframe always depends on the payment method (if you used Direct Carrier billing for example a refund can take up to 30 days until it arrives). It sounds a bit weird that some of your refunds got declined, but it's probably best to have a list ready (like a spreadsheet), list all the ones you expect a refund, double check on your bank statement for which ones you got it already and then check with the bank if they have gotten the missing ones. And if you're still missing refunds, it can also be that it takes Google a bit longer to proceed with them, but they stated all should be processed by Jan 18, 2023. If you're still concerned though about refunds showing as declined and you didn't got any emails about it, you can also double check with the Stadia team if they can see any decline reason. Just be aware they are super busy atm, so it's quite hard to get hold of them atm.

Hey @Wake_380, You can check with your bank in this case. If the refund went through successfully even though your payment method is inactive/expired now (refund can still take up 3-5 days, sometimes even longer), then the bank may have received the money. In case the refund is not successful, you would get an email from Google to ask you to provide an alternate payment method. There's no timeframe though as to when you would receive the email, but you would only get one if the refund fails. Q: I no longer have the form of payment I used to make the purchase. Hey @Compulsion, Do you see the same when you go to pay.google.com (does the status for these 4 games there also not say yet it's refunded)? If yes, then maybe it takes a bit longer for these games to be processed. Just a wild guess, but you can also double check with the issuer of the payment method that the refund went to, maybe they have somehow gotten the refund, even though the Stadia App doesn't show it. In any way Google stated all refunds should be processed by Jan 18, 2023, so it's also possible that it just takes a bit more time in your case. Hardware refunds have not yet started it seems btw, I'm also still waiting on those.

Hey @eparveen98, Did you try to check if you have gotten any notification in the top right corner on pay.google.com? If so, you may be able to update your payment method through that notification. If that doesn't work either, I don't see any other way than the email. Can you try it with another device again or in an incognito-window, just to see if maybe an extension or device issue is the cause of the error when clicking on the link? If that doesn't help either, it may be worth in your case to see if you can contact the Stadia team about the issue, maybe they have a way to escalate the issue further. Just be aware they are super busy atm, so the response time or waiting queue may be longer than usual. Hope this helps!
