Unfortunately nobody here has or is able to share any concrete information about when Stadia will roll out to new regions but I'm sure the goal is to eventually have it available worldwide.

If you can cast to the CCU and it otherwise behaves normally I doubt it's a hardware problem. If you have the ability to check firewall logs at your routing equipment they may give you some clues. If you can also create a DMZ port and try having your CCU connected to that you could rule out a firewall problem on your end. At the end of the day, it sound like an account problem though I agree it's weird that you can use it on Chrome OK. You may need to try to get in touch with Stadia Support directly about this one if you don't have any luck ruling out your internal network equipment blocking the CCU Stadia communications for some reason.

You'll have to reassociate the controller to a different wifi AP each time you move it. You can do this using the Stadia app on your phone (go to controllers), and holding down the Y button while powering the controller on to go into setup mode again. It can't remember multiple SSIDs so this is something you'll need to do each time you move it to a new network.

When you're on a PC, where the audio flows is dependent on your audio setup in the operating system. In Windows you'll have default communication devices and default audio devices which can be separate things. If both are set to the headset, you'll get the audio out of the headset and it will use the headset as the mic. If you have separate speakers set to your default output device, the game audio will come out of that device. When playing on CCU, as far as I know, whenever a headset (or earphones) is connected to the controller it mutes audio to CCU and all audio is directed to the controller and there is no way to override this like you can on PC.

I noticed this as well, around the time that Gylt became a claimable Stadia Pro game. At the time, I actually thought it was a neat "twist" on how it was supposed to sound specific for the game because it sounded like the noise was intentionally made "spooky". It only seems to do this through Chrome, not via the Chromecast Ultra. I don't think there is anything we can personally do about it. For what it's worth it doesn't seem to affect in-game audio at all, so I've just ignored it, but I can see how it could bother someone. I suggest you leave feedback about this from within Stadia/Stadia app - that will ensure it gets to the right people to look into.

Some games, like you've discovered, don't properly hide the hashtag #0 after user names in some instances. Basically a founder user name still has the hashtag and a number, but we just happen to be #0. You might want to reach out to Ubisoft to let them know as they would be the ones to patch the game to get rid of this if possible.
Nope, you can only apply a buddy pass once per account. The buddy pass is more like a way to create a Stadia account right now and not so much like a gift card to extend the service.

I don't believe there are likely any founders left that have active buddy passes by now as they expire three months after activating the account and founders kits were sold out ahead of when Stadia launched in November. But all signs are pointing towards the launch of Stadia Base which is speculated will have one month Pro trials for new users, so hang in there, you'll be on the service soon I think regardless (just speculation, of course).

To be fair, the whole Buddy Pass thing was supposed to be an exclusive perk for Founders Editions. That being said I get the feeling (I don't have any inside information about this) that it won't be long now until Stadia Base launches and anybody will be able to sign up for a Stadia Pro trial so it may not matter for much longer.
If you have anything plugged into the 3.5mm port on the controller, all audio is redirected to there. There is no option to have both audio outputs active at the same time currently.

There isn't right now. The controller does have a Bluetooth chipset in it, but it isn't enabled yet. Given that bluetooth headphones often have fairly large issues with latency and AV Sync I would probably not plan on relying on this even if it ever does gets enabled. You'd be better off using a wireless headset that has a transmitter that plugs into the USB Port, but that isn't yet enabled either - hopefully USB headset support comes sooner than later, I'm waiting for that to roll out myself.

I can verify it works on Home/Nest Hub. I've always said "on <Chromecast Name>" but if you have the Home/Hub "default TV" set up in the Home app it may not require it, though I've actually never tried omitting it. I've started Destiny 2 this way and it will wake up the TV, switch to the Chromecast input, start the game and wait for you to turn on the controller.

Buying games digitally that later go on sale is an occupational hazard on every storefront. While I don't believe any other storefront offers price protection beyond the usual return policy, it could be a nice customer friendly policy for Stadia to introduce. For example, automatically refund the difference in price if the price goes down within a week of purchasing.

Not right now. It'll keep your instance running for 15 minutes I believe if you disconnect without shutting down before it releases the instance for other users. I imagine that a standby feature may come with or after the "state share" feature that was announced but not yet delivered comes but we don't know anything about when that might happen yet.

Remember that it isn't just the 4K aspect that Chromecast Ultra has over the older 1080P Chromecast, the hardware inside the Ultra is significantly more powerful in general and it may be that it will never be up to the standards needed for a good Stadia experience even at 1080P. So while it's possible that it will be supported in the future, my bet is that it may be a long while and I'd certainly not wait for it especially when Ultras can be found inexpensively and are solid upgrades even for non-Stadia uses.

Yes, it would. However I wouldn't recommend an Edgerouter X for you. Just about any regular consumer router you'll find on a shelf at Best Buy would do but I think it would be worth it for you to look into just dumping the Airport and replacing your whole system with Nest Wifi. Alternatively do it in reverse, move the airport you already have working and then add another device/router in AP mode to where you currently have the airport.

@Raymond87 The Chromecast Ultra should be powered by the power adapter it comes with, standard USB port does not supply enough power for it to run properly. I believe it may run with reduced performance and limited to 1080P without the power adapter but it is not recommended either way.
