C'mon folks, you know why we arn't getting the "real games" like CoD and BF! It's simply a input lag issue. While som of us Stadia users can have reasonable input lag that's not the case for the vast majority of users.  We would simply be blown away by Xbox and PS players in crossplay and the input lag issue would become far to obvious.  In indie games and games like farming simulator, this doesn't matter and that's why that's what we'r getting.  Just borrow a friends xbox series x or ps 5 and compare a game, like The Division or Doom and you'll see that big elephant in the room.  It sucks but sometimes the truth hurts!

They are holding off fifa and madden and 1st class FPS games due to input lag issues. Input lag is more apparent on these titles so they need a fix before release. I’ve been playing Stadia since release. And I’ve played a few hours each week. I now can say this. It works for adventure games. But the input lag is present in evry game, more in some, like metro, less in some, like destiny. You can say what you want and blame my connection but it doesn’t matter because if input lag simple wasn’t a fact we would have seen more fast paced games by now. Instead we have seen more indie games and adventure games. These are still enjoyable, and it is still amazing that google made this work, and I’ve been playing a lot, but I miss being able to play fast paced sports, racing or shooting games and since I can afford it I’ve ordered an Xbox.  I’ll be keeping my stadia controllers but I’ll cancel my pro subscription.  cheers!

I really hope they've improved the gameplay so that input lag i reduced.  I played through "Last Light" because story and nice scenery but the gameplay (input lag) was always horrible (CC and Stadia Controller).  And also, whats up with the long time it takes from starting stadia until you'r in the game, there should be an option to continiue your last game directly when starting stadia, without having to go through 5 menus and 4 loading screens.  I apologise for bad spelling, something is not working right with spell-check right now.

Same experience on both pc and cc (but input lag more noticeable which mouse keyboard) tried two locations with two different isp:s.  Any similar experience from you guys, that The Devision 2 plays better.
Tried Devision 2?

Hi.  Been playing on stadia since launch. Casual gaming, perhaps 50-100 hours.  Would be interesting to here what you other guys think on game performance.  I play in chromecast with stadia controller.  Since up till division two I’ve always felt input lag which lessens the gaming experience. One game that plays worse than all the others is metro, I played through it but it was a pain, aiming was really hard, especially in hectic situations.  Grind also has input lag which makes you have to turn “before the turn” but of course you can’t do that in unexpected situations which often result in problems. Destiny had less input lag but you could still feel it. assassins creed the same, making parrying especially hard.  Serious Sam also. All of these are still playable but often when playing they make me think that I should by a new PC rig or get the new Xbox when it is released   However Division 2 is different. While playing it I never notice any lag. It plays fine!  But what does that mean! I would like to think that Devision 2 is better optimised to Stadia, which could mean that coming releases will work better. I really hope so. Since Devision 2 works so well that would make connection, bandwidth, geographically location a non issue. So what do you other guys think, have you had similar experiences?

Thanks for answering and confirming that your controller doesn't do this. I've returned my first controller today, will be contacting google for a replacement unit for the second one also. The first faulty one was black but the second faulty one was white so that doesn't seem to matter. I live in Sweden and the controllers are sent from the Netherlands i think, so maybe they got a faulty batch in store down there. There were no problem with the return procedure, I just rang google support and got email with return instructions. They sent me another controller first so that I could use the faulty one until I got the replacement. Remains to bee seen what happens when the controller reaches "googles shop" and are examined. But I expect they will accept the reclamation. However returns is much work, both for me and for the google people. I had to spend about 1 hour in the phone and I guess another hour and half repackage, picking up replacement unit and dropping of the faulty unit.

I've uploaded a youtube video on the squeaking. I apologize for my poor video shooting skills. Not sure if I can embed te video in this message, or how to do so so I'll just post the link below. @Mad_Dog_Bravo please have a look.  https://youtu.be/v26kpZNsiW8 I guess that if I'm having this issue with two controllers, others must too.   I'm no "200 pound gorilla" (to Quote AvE), so I haven't broken them by applying excessive pressure. The controller works but its a loud an irritating noise. I'm not used to console gaming so please enlighten me if this is supposed to be this way.

Would be interesting to hear more about this from official channels. I saw on games nexus video On YouTube that input lag on thumper were under 100 ms on stadia (pc mouse keyboard Ethernet) but on metro on CCU Ethernet its about 290 ms (not ok I would say). But than most of lag is created in input handling on Google’s servers, right? And possibly they could improve on their end?
Will google be able to reduce input lag over time, how good can it get given the rules of physics. Will we be able to play CS ever on stadia for example?.
Are there any lag to Bluetooth headphones?

Second that! I’m 32 now and haven’t been gaming in about 2 years (occasional Starcraft exempted). Been thinking on whether to buy a new gaming pc but couldn’t get around to it. When I bought my previous (almost 7 years ago) I paid 3000$. But now when you have so little time it’s hard to argue for a new one. Anyway would love to see the total war titles on Stadia, including Rome 2. The guys from Sega newer did a good job in optimising the games so probably would work better on stadia servers compared to a few years old average joe gaming rig, that’s purely speculation from my part though.
