@Excog That was one way I mentioned that this could be solved. No solution is going to be perfect for everyone but you have to start somewhere. I disagree with you that a one year release would make it worse for people, otherwise the alternative would be to have people complain the entire 12 months every time a game becomes free. At lest people will have some sense of what will become free to them. I'll tell you what's not a good business model. Making your customers unhappy, dealing with all the complaints/refunds, and people causing charge-backs on their credit cards. Credit card charge-backs are a HUGE problem for companies and in particular those who sell digital goods. It is very hard any company to win digital charge-backs --I know from first hand experience and you can look up the data as well. Stadia is also a new service so why should they follow the old standards of other platforms? Just because other companies do something within the same industry doesn't mean it's the best solution nor one that other should follow. For my last thought, I don't mind having my ideas or posts critiqued, but what I do mind is that if anyone is going to do so, that they present their own solutions as well. There is no point in posting back to someone's post without contributing something constructive to help the community --otherwise it's just more we have to filter out.

Not only that, I gave a couple of real solutions that would work for everybody, and one of those was just to list the games they’re going to make free for the year. Yes, people bought the game because they wanted it and it was cheap. But, people also subscribed to the pro version of Stadia to get free games –which Stadia makes a big deal out of to sell the pro subscription. If someone bought every single Stadia game—which there are not that many right now—then ONE of the main perks of having Stadia pro is lost to that subscriber. Right now, there are not many advantages to having pro, and I’m sure Google wouldn’t be happy about losing subscriptions over something that is completely preventable!

There needs to be some type of compensation to those who already own the game(s) that become "free" for "pro" users. This doesn't have to be directly cash, as Stadia could use some type of credit system, etc. The reason for the need of a compensation, is that pro users will now hesitate to buy games to see if it will become free for them later. As someone who buys a LOT of games, this is a real concern for me as one of the main selling points for choosing the pro plan is that you get free games! For an ending thought, this could all be avoided if they had a 1 (one) year plan that showed which games would be free for pro users. That way if we purchase the games ahead of time, then that would be our own fault.

There are also those who don't have the funds to buy another game while waiting for their money to return on their card. This will also prevent users from purchasing everything upfront or who are excited to play from not getting a refund on add-on items since the policy is, " This refund is only available for purchased games, and NOT for add-on content or services." The easiest way, since the refund policy is 2 hours of game play, is to simply let people "just play it" for 2 hours and then block them from running it until they buy it. It would also be nice to know how long someone has played the game as well as a warning letting them know they'll lose access if they don't purchase within, lets say, 30 minutes or so.
It would be nice to know when Stadia updates its games somehow. That way if there was a bug, or a buff to a weapon, etc. I'd be able to read what's changed. If this already happens then I'd like to k... See more...

Even if for some reason it was because of 4k I'm a Stadia Pro user --we pay for that feature. At 4k, the bandwidth it uses is a tiny fraction of what my internet can support. Stepping down the resolu... See more...

Stepping down the resolution shouldn't be the solution, which by the way, didn't fix the lag. Personally, I believe it has something to do with the controllers connectivity. It's the only obvious kink in the chain. The Chromecast is plugged in via direct to TV & Ethernet. On my Android phone playing on a cellular network (I had my friend share a hotspot) with the Dualshock controller connected via Bluetooth, the lag was minimal and nowhere near the lag on the Chromecast. Edit: I forgot to address the other comment about enabling game mode. I have tried it with the same result as well as other TV modes with the same result. Also my TV can auto enable or just always enable higher refresh rates to 120hz --still with lag.

I've played with keyboard and mouse, and dualshock on PC. I've used the dualshock on my Android phone via Bluetooth (which works great btw for travel playing). But when I use the Stadia controller with the Chromecast, the input lag is MASSIVE! It's impossible to aim on tomb raider making it unplayable. For timing I have to preemptively press the button to get the time right. Red Dead Redemption 2 is just as bad but it's less noticable because it has aim assist.  I'm a big tech person and software engineer and have the latest in tech with way more than adequate internet connection. The router is only an few feet away from the controller.  Update: I reduced the lag by plugging it directly into the TV. I had it hooked into my Onkyo media receiver. It's at least playable now but the lag still VERY noticable.
