For anyone wondering, the Tomb Raider game is solid, but it's not a Tomb Raider game. It's this kinda funky puzzle game that gets pretty challenging/fun, but in my ever humble opinion wouldn't be worth more than dropping $10 on if you're trying to scratch a puzzle itch. That being said, I'd highly recommend Spitlings for puzzle games - it's very nuanced in later levels, deceptively so.
Woooo!!  Thank you for confirming the release date of Tuesday the 25th in addition to the informative post!
Woooooo!  Thank you, Stadia team!
Seriously cool Pro games and steep discounts, thank you!!  Gylt is AMAZING and while it was worth the price on release, it makes me happy knowing other people will get to play it who may not have!
It's time to unthink the things we think are things.

@Thr33pw00d  I really like how you've laid out TCO for the platform so far.  However, be aware that some games have much higher MSRP due to being special editions (such as Rise of the Tomb Raider and Farming Sim).  I've spent a little more, myself: + $130 Founder's kit + $60 Red Dead Redemption 2 on launch + $30 RDR2 Online Outlaw Pass and gold bars - yeehaw + $24 GRID on sale + $10 Tomb Raider (also did not pursue refund) + $30 Gylt + $30 FFXV on launch sale + $24 Shadow of the Tomb Raider on sale - $30 3 months of Pro for free - $20 Thumper  - $60 Rise of the Tomb Raider 20th Ann. Ed. - $35 Farming Sim 2019 Platinum Ed. - $60 Samurai Shodown  - $50 Destiny 2: The Collection (only counting Shadowkeep, & already owned all previous) --------------------- Total: $338 spent, $255 saved, ∆ +$83 It's fair to say that the more someone has invested, the more they want news as a means to reassure their investments - nobody wants to be on the "losing team," so to speak, with skin in the game.  Here's to news soon and a good February Pro games lineup!

I'm personally hoping we get a full Stadia Connect soon and they can launch a volley of titles coming across the entire year for us.  May be wishful thinking, but what better way to showcase developers, game franchises, and build hype?  Unfortunately, for now the few games we know of (Doom 2016, Doom Eternal, Cyberpunk, etc) don't have confirmed release dates.  Developers like Capcom were listed as launch title devs, but have not confirmed any titles.

@stringlapse You do not get a refund if you previously purchased the games, but you do retain the rights to keep them whether you're on a Pro subscription or not.  When you end your Pro subscription, you lose access to "claimed" games, but yes you also get your claimed library back when you reinstate Pro subscription.  You will miss out on games you do not claim while you are not Pro, however.  As a bonus - your saved games remain intact even if you stop Pro subscription for a while!

1000%.  I would LOVE games like Stardew Valley to be available from any screen!  I'm holding out hope for games like Binding of Isaac / Legend of Bum-bo, older titles like Braid and Limbo, but newer titles like The Witness or Hades to also make their way here.  All we can do is hope there is interest and/or incentive for these developers to work hard on a port for Stadia!

I agree with OP, but just remember, EVERYone has to work on how they port games to Stadia.  Everything will lag behind a little, and what we can hope for is developers to reach parity and integrate Stadia ports with the rest of consoles. However, with holidays and time constraints, there's little wonder why developers prioritize Stadia lower on the support chain. It isn't fun, so hopefully over the next few months as we close in on the Stadia Base launch, this becomes a nonissue.

@Ravenlock Hugely agree here- not only did they turn around a fix very quickly, but remember: the pricing is still very competitive.  It's not a great feeling to refund a game and "lose" the deal, but we all knew well ahead of time the Pro discount would end 12/3.  Anyone who didn't want to gamble on Stadia lost this time. But hey - $40 for the Royal edition plus all DLC plus exclusive Stadia content is still better price than ANY other market.  On PS4, you have to pay $35 for Royal edition, plus $5 for Ardyn and $10 for Comrades.  On Steam, you still pay $35 plus $5 for Ardyn.  Seems reasonable to me!
Awesome!! Thank you so much!!

@Otis  Gr8 b8 m8. Just for anyone reading, I play WiFi to Chromecast and hardline to PC. No problems on either. Tomb Raider and FFXV both have native 4K, better than my PC could run. Looks great, no issues, on a 75/10 home internet. YMMV but it looks the same as console to me, better than my mid-grade gaming PC, although not nearly as good as it could on a $3000 high end gaming rig.
Happy holidays for those celebrating, and happy Stadia gaming to everyone either way!   Thanks Google team!

@GraceFromGoogle Now that comments are working again, I think a lot of people are still confused about whether existing launch Stadia Pro discounts are the same as Black Friday discounts, or if we can look forward to additional games on sale!  Either way, thank you for all the extra effort during the craziness of launch, PLUS this holiday week!
