@Mad_Dog_Bravo Thanks a lot for your elaborate reply. It's quite interesting, that this can be observed in the UK as well. I am certain that you are right about them still working heavily on the infrastructure. And if this issue just came and vanished as quickly as it appeared, I wouldn't have any problem with that since I also understand that this is a work in progress. However, I have to say that I am slowly getting a bit annoyed at this issue. Today is the third day this is happening and I still can't reach excellent connection quality. No matter what I do. After checking (and playing around) with settings, cables, the router and even trying two different Chromecasts wired directly into the router with a 3m cable, I am left quite frustrated not knowing what the problem is and running out of things to try and means to diagnose. Perhaps a short statement from Google that these things can and will happen and that it is normal and will go away after a new more days would help... certainly before we start tearing down walls in our homes or making our ISP support go crazy. I'd appreciate this a lot, since I am afraid that this might be the new normal for my location now for some odd reason. @Phili My ISP is HTP, which is a regional thing here in Hanover. @Pheenix This would certainly be an option. Seeing bandwidth usage on my router there is no obvious reason for getting a 1080p stream.
