Yeah, ps4 controller works fine via Bluetooth on chromecast w/ gtv without rumble, on android phone via Bluetooth it even supports rumble! The gamesir via 2.4ghz dongle with usb hub seems to offer lower latency but not in a overly noticeable way, pros of a usb hub is that supports 1G ethernet while the Google, overly priced, ethernet adapter supports only 10/100.

As I mentioned the Stadia controller doesn't like my isp so I figured out that a usb-c hub might offer a workaround to my Stadia headaches and it does! Anker hub with various ports and ethernet connected to chromecast with google tv allows plug in of a wireless dongle (8bitdo and Gamesir work for me) and voilà! I can connect Switch pro, ps4 and Gamesir controllers. Rumble doesn't work on any of them, and that is bad on Google! but lag is noticeably better than bluetooth controllers. And so, forget the non-existent Stadia troubleshooting (which really boils down to "change your isp") or the £56 Stadia controller, get a usb hub, a wireless dongle and you're good to go.......go and restart that Stadia, it crashed again oh no !

I'm on EE 4g modem (content locks removed) and Netgear nighthawk WiFi, previous 5g modem from Three posed no issues to controller connection. This will go down as one other bug and nothing that can be done, I understand Google is really not putting any money in development any longer and it shows, I'm spending more time troubleshooting that playing. Just wish Stadia enabled connection over bluetooth! Btw thanks for the reply.

Yeah but not even the ps4 controller is fully supported to be honest, rumble doesn't work on tv, the ps5 had rumble on tv but button mapping was messed up, I just can't see the logic in having all this conflicts across devices, for that matter not even the Stadia controller is fully supported, rumble doesn't work over wired connection!

I think somehow the controller is recognising the network as 4g! Will try what you suggest though I don't like messing with settings, I'd prefer all experience to be more user friendly tbh.

This is just getting plain absurd! I was on a poor fiber broadband with 17mbs download speed and controller was connecting fine but game performance wasn't great, so I upgraded to 4g home broadband (wirh EE in UK) and now I get 100mbs download speed, Stadia works a charm but controller will no longer connect! The hardware is fine as it still connects using the old fibre network, it will connect to new network but "without internet" which obviously makes the controller unusable! Insane thing is that I'm running my network on a asus rt-ax86u, so shouldn't make any difference if Internet is coming from fibre or mobile broadband as devices are connected to a WiFi router in any case!! Stadia is running great on Google tv and phones when these are connected to my new WiFi, so how is it possible that the controller won't like the new network? Obviously another bug! I'm getting a bit fed up to be honest!!!!
Agreed! I looked into the bt hub smart 2 and it had no qos or other game friendly feature, fact is even on ethernet late at night I cannot seem to get a reliable enough line. So I ordered a tuf-ax540...

Of course more than one person is on my home network, would be unrealistic to assume that I'm the only one allowed to use broadband while playing video games.....I'd say it's more a case of Stadia servers being less under load at 1am then they'd be at 8pm on a Saturday. Just left a bad session of Rage 2 now at 720p with audio and video stutter with 15mbs and 20ms of ping, to be honest even with my wife watching netflix in the other room I should be able to play a decent session at 10mbs min according to Google!

I subscribed to Stadia a week ago and so far I've been playing Cyberpunk and Rage 2, I'm on a 18mbs connection (<20ms ping) over ethernet when playing on Google TV and apart from a couple of LATE night sessions that played beautifully on FHD setting most of times it's just plain frustration with both video and audio latency issues just on 720p! I guess people on full fibre might be of a different opinion about cloud gaming, so far the minimum 10mbs connection advised by Google seems just pure delusion! What's your opinion?
All games, WiFi gives ingame rumble, wired usb-c gives connection rumble confirm but no actual ingame rumble (and yes it's enabled within game settings before you ask).........

Stadia controller connected to s21 ultra via wireless has in game rumble, when I wire controller via usb c cable the in game rumble stops working. This is all on stadia app so I don't understand why the wired connection won't support rumble while it does over wifi. is this a bug or what else?
