Problem is Chromecast Ultra being super picky with its DRM and not send sound through my cheap no brand 6x2 HDMI spliiter. My 6x2 HDMI splitter is an important part of my home which allows me to send any of my 6 inputs to one or both of my TV and Projector in two separate rooms. The 6x2 splitter has worked with everything including Fire Stick and ONN Andrid Stick, WDTV, Home Security, Windows Laptops, Chromecast, Xboxes, Play stations, and everything else. The only two devices with sound issues are Chromecast and newer Apple TV. I hope Google considers a revision to this ridiculous DRM limitation.

Solved the issue.   The problem is my cheapo 6x2 HDMI splitter that probably doesn't have all the drm software that Google and Apply comply with but Amazon and Sony don't care. I need the splitter because I have many devices and two outputs in the house at two ends and sometimes I need same image on two sides and need to be able to switch inputs from the media closet.    The world around is to manually plug in the Chromecast Ultra ,  unfortunately , every time I want to use it.    If anyone knows of a drm compatible 6x2 splitter or a way to kill the drm on Chromecast please let me know. I'm not recording any  copywrite protected  stuff!!!   Thanks!!

Connected my Chromecast Ultra to Denon AVR-S940H receiver and then receiver to my Samsung  TV.   I get no sound. Possibly DRM issues? I can't stand DRM.   In Google Home App I switched audio in all 4 types (Auto, AC3/EAC3, AC3 Surround, Stereo) and none worked. Absolutely no sound. Same exact port and cables on the Denon work fine with my FireStick, PS3, laptop, and other old HDMI devices. Newer Apple TV also has no sound, maybe see issue but Apple TV has sound for 1 second before cutting it out.  Headphone connected to Stadia controller works fine.   (Moving Chromecast to the back of the TV directly isn't an option. TV is mounted on the wall and only one cable is running through the walls to my Denon which is in a closet hidden away , and there is only one power outlet on the wall behind the TV anyway and TV is pretty high on the wall, so please don't suggest that. It's not the point of this post.) Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

Yes I reset the controller hardware and tried 3 different WIFI including two different 5G and a 2.4G wifi that I have for guests which is very frustrating because its my phone, my ONN Androit TV and my phone, all 3 have to change to  3 different wifi to test and it NEVER works.  Result is the same thing. Very frustrating that it NEVER works if left along for more than 30 minutes. Now its taking 10-20 tries to do the XBleftY thing and still NEVER connects, I have not been able to use it at all in the past two days.    All it does just blinks white, I do the KEY combination, sometimes it rumbles sometimes it doesnt, then does two more rumbles and blinks orange.

Hello,   I bought the Walmart ONN Android TV stick mainly for Stadia, and because it runs Android TV and it's much better than Chromecast Ultra that came bundled with the Stadia Controller.    But the controller works one time and over night or after a few hours it disconnects and has to be paired again. Any chance this could this be updated and fixed anytime soon?    Given the fact that the ONN TV is only $20 at Walmart and an excellent streaming device so far cheap, fast, and has Chromecast built in as well, it would be nice to have it work properly. I mean who wants to keep switching input to Chromecast just to play Stadia and switch back to another input  for everything else? Chromecast should not even exist.  Thanks for all your help!
I have the same question. In fact many people have the same question.
