I agree that this should be prioritized, and I have a Google related reason to want the feature released versus how great it would be to use with other third party applications.  I just got a Chromecast with Google TV device today.  I have a ton of Chromecast Ultras already, but I wanted to try this out and with the Netflix promotion that was running, it seemed like a perfect opportunity to secure it.  I really like Google TV a lot, though it is a little more awkward to launch Stadia compared to the Chromecast Ultra.  I can no longer just turn on the controller and play.  That said, the benefits of the device make it worth launching the app from the remote or voice control and then linking the controller to my session to play.   That said, I was pleasantly surprised to see I could play other games from my Google Play library directly on the Google TV.  How cool is that?  I installed one and went to launch it, only to be told that I couldn't launch it without a compatible gamepad.  I have my Stadia controller which should be a compatible gamepad right?  Wrong?  You can only link a controller to the Google TV via Bluetooth.  I'm planning to link my PS4 controller, but I really like the Stadia controller and it just seems crazy that items within the Google ecosystem don't always play together (I know it was awhile just to get support for Stadia on the device at all).  It seems even crazier knowing the controller actually has Bluetooth built in.   I'd like to second the request to prioritize this.  I'll be submitting the feature request via the Stadia app and the Google TV app.  If enough of us ask for the feature through the official channels, maybe it will make its way into a future firmware update.
