Tried disconnecting all Bluetooth devices and the controller still worked so I guess its possible it is just connected with WiFi but that is surprising for it to be able to use WiFi to interact with the Nvidia Shield TV stick. The good news I guess is it seems all the functionality is there for it to work with other devices wirelessly (or at least works with the Nvidia Shield TV) so just needs turning on.   Edit: It managed to reconnect that time after timing out. I just pushed the Stadia button and put in the code (had it memorized from earlier on today).
Am currently using the Stadia controller to play Dragon Quest Builders 2 wirelessly on my Nvidia Shield TV via the xbox game pass app. Controller works flawlessly too.   edit. World First?
Yeah just opened Netflix with it and was able to scroll the timeline etc. Only issue is when it times out from non use the only way to reactivate it is back in Stadia.

One of the ways I connect to Stadia is via a Nvidia Shield TV device. Usually when I close Stadia on there the Stadia Controller immediately disconnects too. However today it didn't and I was able to use it to navigate around my Nvidia Shield menu. Does that mean Bluetooth support has been enabled for the controller now? Don't see how it would work otherwise.

Hello again, I don't have a dog in the race and if I was in your position of being told I'm eligible then found out I wasn't I'd be irritated too because I'm sure that like me you'd have just purchased an eligible game instead - but now you can't. I would say though that you're coming across in a way that reflects poorly. Calling things 'fail' and insulting people to say they're bots -- it looks bad my dude. Accusing people of bait and switch. If I was in Google's position then I'd want to give you an opportunity to buy an eligible game so you could take part too, and I hope they do this and I feel like you've had some bad luck here.   My advice to you? Try to bite your tongue for a bit. A mistake has been made so maybe Google will find a way to make things right with you but it becomes less likely if you are rude my bro.   My advice to Google? Give Auggie8038 an opportunity to buy to take part. You have endless troughs of cash so this will be a small hit for you. Edit: missed the bit about the Google response being final. I think that's a mistake, the idea of the promotion surely is to spread some cheer and hopefully get people to buy more games but if they feel they have to read lots of small print they won't. My hope is a Google rep reads this and sees some potential in what I've suggested.
I'd just like to add with regards to Elan that I found him both helpful and approachable when I contacted Google for support about the promo. He was a gentleman and a credit to Google.
