Bought a brand new NVIDIA SHIELD Pro to play Stadia cloud gaming, because Chromecast was too glitchy. I needed something to run Stadia to my tv that could accept an Ethernet cable. But it turns out Stadia will not launch on the Shield. It messages that "Stadia will not run unless I update Google Play services" When I click the update link it asks for which Google account. I select mine, (the only one there is) and it dumps me back to the Android TV home screen. I have rebooted my router, reinstalled Stadia, updated all things possible, rebooted the Shield, even factory reset. I've called Nvidia, chatted with Stadia support, and they both have open dockets for the issue. Stadia works fine on all my other devices. The Shield launches all other apps no problem. The saddest part is Stadia is the only reason I spent 200 on the Nvidia Shield, and it's the only app that won't launch. I wasn't looking for another way to stream Netflix or YouTube. I just wanted a steady wired connection for cloud gaming. Has this happened to anyone else? Don't want to send it back, but I will if I can't resolve this.
