unfortunately that's how Stadia makes money: they give you a free subscription and hope for you to forget to cancel. most users won't forget, some will, and for Stadia that's the revenue. for the rest I think the service is pretty useless. I have also been burnt with the same trick, it's 10 dollars only but the principle is worth much more. I will proactively look for alternative services, if that's how Google treats its users.
