Any video streaming service will have buffered some data before starting to play on your screen. Not possible with a game. I’m getting best results with chromecast tethered to Ethernet. Lots of variables to take into consideration when streaming, especially thru WIFI. For the most part everything is very playable. This is not to say it couldn’t be better or worse on any given day due to Googles infrastructure, but I tend to believe that my ISP is probably more of an issue. Or whoever transmits data in between Google and my home.

I wouldn’t say Stadia‘s launch was a disaster. Issues, yes. And yes, not really transparent perhaps. Never understood why the code sending was tied to the shipment of the founders edition in first place, but I guess that was G‘s way of controlling access to the system or their warehouses and servers really couldn’t cope with the amount of orders to reach customers on or before day 1. But if that had been the case, they could have advanced shipments and code send outs a bit. Nevertheless, I’m certain Stadia got more people to play on day one than a console launch with people not being able to purchase the hardware due to limited stock. No class action required I guess. Freebie would go a long way nevertheless. On the bright side, Stadia will never have to mess with a new platform launch ever again (wouldn’t count Stadia Base a second launch). Things will get better by the month from now on I guess.
PlayStation. Now is your “Netflix for Gaming” since it gives you a huge library and new additions for a monthly fee. But don’t expect to see current blockbusters already included.

Still working today. So, let’s say it’s fixed for good. Finally I can play thru Chromecast on living room TV like in my good old Xbox360 days
Believe it or not, tonight I'm able to play directly without VPN necessary. Either I'm lucky or it's fixed.
Well, good they acknowledged the complaint. It should be an easy fix though. Had once a similar problem with a different company. Got fixed within 12 hours or so.

Same here. Resorted to play through quality VPN on 720pp settings. Games highly playable. Problem solved for now until G gets it done. Playing on a MacBook with wired controller.
