I appreciate you posting this.  But I've bailed already.  I'm sure they will release family sharing AFTER everyone has gone out and bought a PS5 or Series X.

So I have pretty much abandoned Stadia. (I canceled my pro 'script a couple months back.) I am sold completely on the technology.  Google hit it out of the park on the tech.  But that is only part of the equation.  They promised family sharing well over a year ago, and have strung people along since then.  Google doesn't seem to be all in on this, and I'm not going to invest any more money or time into it until the vision they laid out originally is realized.  By that time, I suspect XBOX Cloud gaming will at least have started to catch up.  At which point, Stadia will become a hard sell.  Good luck to you all who are sticking it out!  Hopefully Google will give the rest of us a reason to come back.
This is getting to be a monthly post.  We are still waiting!
Thanks for posting this.  Unfortunately, they have been saying this for quite awhile.  It seems to continue to get pushed back.  "This year" doesn't really tell us much.
I see what you are saying.  It seems to me they have put the infrastructure in place, but they have not pulled the trigger to enable yet.  Thanks for pointing this out.

I think this is different.  This is for kids to set up their own Stadia account, when their account is currently part of a family group within Google.  Obviously I could be wrong, but I believe that is what this is.  I will be curious to find out if 1 purchase of a game will allow multiple accounts within the family to play that game.  Either way, this is in no way how I envision family sharing.  With YouTubeTV, you just send an invite from the main account to the other accounts you want to have access to your subscription.  That is pretty much how I envision Stadia working.
Also... Try setting up a guest network and see if that resolves it.
Do you have multiple routers in your home?  Make sure you are connecting to a wifi network with only 1 access point.

Hi Google.  It's been nearly 4 months since this post and we are closing in on 6 months since launch.  We still haven't heard anything from you on Family Sharing.  Now Doom is getting released, and we are going to have to purchase it on another system, regrettably.  We much prefer to play on Stadia.  With so many kids at home right now it seems like now is as a good a time as any to flip the switch and allow us to add sub accounts to our Stadia Pro.  We are waiting, and understanding you want to roll it right, but you haven't given us a clue about when to expect it.  So it is starting to get frustrating as new titles are released that other members of the family want to play.  Even giving us a target date some time in the future would be highly appreciated at this point so we know where to spend our gaming dollars.
I'm going to bump this a few times in hopes someone who has this setup sees this...

Has anyone had any success getting a mic to work with Bose 700 headphones?  I understand that out of the box, the mic is bluetooth and as far as I know, that will not work for gaming through the controller.  (Playing on Chromecast - not PC)   But I know Amazon and Bose make inline mic cables for older model Bose headphones.  I'm wondering if anyone has tried this with Bose 700s.
We've played NBA2k and Samuri. Can't see any difference from playing on XBOX. Actually - it's better.
There is an option in the settings in Destiny to disable push to talk (at least I think that is it). If not, it is something very similar. Try that.
This is all great news, but I am really disappointed there is nothing here about family sharing.

I have to imagine at least 2 of the 3 categories below are blatantly obviously missing from Stadia:  EA sports games, and the free to play games like Apex/Fortnite.   The third category is more niche, but I think it is a big niche which is the Civilization type games.  For me I'd like to see Civ VI and Civ Revolution.   I think Stadia would entice a huge user base if they negotiated a deal with 2k to offer up Civilization as part of the Pro deal.  Civ games are notorious for being resource intensive.  Stadia could solve that problem on the back end.

My ideal situation (which Google doesn't care about) would be the same model they use for YouTube TV.  It makes sense to me.  1 account with family sub accounts - 1 price, and I think they allow at least 3 in use at a time.  When I buy a digital game on a console, anyone on that console can play it with any account.  This should be the same for Stadia.  I'd like to be able to use my family accounts to play games with my family on separate screens.  (Sports games, Fire teams, etc.)

I am concerned this is being pushed farther down the road. This is just a bit of conjecture, but I suspect that the Stadia team is hoping that we give out our buddy passes to our family members thereby making it impossible for that family member to later be part of another family sharing account. (In hopes of driving up revenue.) Meanwhile I am holding onto my buddy passes that could be put to good use by their friends once I know I can share my games out to my family via sharing. If I can't share my games with my family, Stadia is not going to make sense for us.

Hi, any Stadia insiders out there?  Can you give us an update on the hoped timeline for family sharing?  I have some family members itching to use Stadia with their new controllers on their own accounts.
Thanks for the suggestions. Can you point me to where those settings are?
