Even if they start releasing them in Feb, that's 11 per month. And even if they were only games already released on other platforms, this would be a pretty staggering achievement. I'm a longtime Google fan but I am concerned they won't deliver. You can say it is the publishers but Google should have made sure they had this sort of stuff in the bag when they launched.

I have found and tested a solution: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07K5RKQB7/ Plug the CCU into this device, send the picture to TV on one HDMI cable, and to receiver on the other. This splitter can handle splitting into two stream of different resolution so TV will still be 4k even if receiver is 1080. Upon starting stadia you might have to tinker a little if it doesn't give you sound. I cast Netflix and make sure I have the right audio output selected on the receiver, then quit Netflix and start stadia. Other than this annoyance, the only other downside is that it doesn't seem to do HDR now. Even when casting a Netflix HDR title through the splitter I don't get HDR. Clearly, until Stadia supports compressed multi channel audio for backwards compatibility with non-eARC devices there will be issues. I really don't understand why they chose not to. Licencing cost probably, but since eARC is only really a thing this year I very much doubt there are many people at all who have both eARC TV and eARC receiver.
Disconnecting, reconnecting, and relinking stadia to Chromecast didn't work. Have tried approaching Stadia team on Twitter https://twitter.com/GoogleStadia/status/1208715648110485509?s=19

Interesting that it just started to work for you after simply pluging and unplugging multiple times and then readding your account. I will see if there is a way to unlink my stadia account and then add it again. Side note, I did get £50 compensation but as credit for play store. I will take it, get a couple more games. I just wish there was some clear indication from Google that they know about this issue centrally and are doing something about it.

Customer service have offered me £25 play credit as compensation for their poor customer service on this. At one stage they emailed to say they had a solution and when I called they didn't. I've gone back and said £50 Google store credit would be more appropriate. However, if this isn't resolved I will be returning my founders edition, and additional controller. At the end of the day, 5.1 is a pretty minimum requirement and if they can't provide something that was promised would be there at launch then I have little faith in the future of Stadia. I suggest everyone contacts customer service to ask for compensation in the meantime

Response from Google: My name is Carlos, one of the Senior Specialist here at Google.  The 5.1 Surround Sound that doesn't work has been escalated already to our team. We're still waiting for a response on how to move forward. We cannot provide any compensation, if you're unsatisfied with the product you can return it. I find this to be an underwhelming response and rather flippant - if you don't like it, return it. There was a degree of trust we placed in Google when we pre-ordered and it should not be dismissed. If I was a prospective customer considering buying into Stadia right now, and I saw this then there is no way I would make the purchase.
Totally valid points. Glad it makes no difference, which given the speed needed for an "excellent" connection I didn't think it would.
I understand the CCU wired connection is 100Mbps maximum. I have it currently connected that way but wonder if WiFi would be better as I have 5g WiFi and connection to ISP is 500Mbps. Maybe Stadia w... See more...

Been on with customer support twice now. First time they said they said it was connection, and maybe just plug into amp, and basically all the stuff some says when they have no idea. They said they would "escalate to higher ups" and I'd get a call back that evening. Got nothing. Second call, the guy said it was game specific and you have to switch it on from within the game. He was then stuck because there was no option in any in game menus. Now waiting again for a call back which probably won't come. I did tell them about the many people here with the issue who are getting no assistance and ultimately I would like to make a formal complaint. He told me there was no way to do that unless I wrote a postal letter to Mountain View. So, great service all round.
I have setup 2 controllers no problems. What you pay for is the Stadia account subscription. I have one account and can play using either controller, or play two player using both.
I think a trick has been missed here. Why don't these controllers charge wirelessly?
Perhaps at 4k this could push connection speeds too much (although mine Ru s at 540mbs and seems to not since at 4k on Chromecast) but three monitors on Chrome would be great, even at 1080p.

Lame response. I want compensation for missing username reservation
