The Chromecast Ultra currently puts out 720p, 1080p, or 4k and I recently purchased a new monitor with 1440p resolution capabilities. I know the CCU does not currently support this resolution but are there any potential changes/updates coming that it may??? I see various other ways to get to the 1440p outside of using the CCU but I'm interested in using my CCU.

So, I just started using stadia enhanced which leads me to this question, why isn't it already apart of stadia already?? It's absolutely fantastic & I can't figure out how something of this caliber hasn't found its way to the platform.  My PC just loves this add on but I got a number of CCU's that would love it more!

I'm currently in the market for a new 4k monitor & I'm finding a lot of options for monitors in the sub 4k region, (qhd, fhd, whd, and so on). In my research I did not find anything that definitely says Stadia won't/can't support anything in between.    So, can Stadia support monitor resolutions between 1080p an 4K?

Excellent post. Although Stadia is not known for big announcements, I would love to hear from the stadia team on potential update opportunities or even if the stadia team is not looking into updates at this time. Being kept in the dark is (in my eyes) more damaging and pushes the player base away.  AMD's most recent product line has a lot of inclusive hardware available now. Whether or not stadia moves to incorporate the new tech.. who knows but it would be awesome to hear from the stadia people.

I have been very unsuccessful in getting game chat to operate within Destiny. As a result, I have been using the PS app to communicate with my friends which does work but is in no way ideal as I lose the ability to hear the game itself (its an either or scenario). Destiny recently include multi-platform in game chat which seems to work (as I understand) for other platforms but not so much with Stadia.  I've been thinking of a way to get around this and the solution would be to include my destiny friends into my stadia friends list. I can only imagine the red tape tied to this request but it would make creating / joining party chats beautiful. Bungie now uses two names for each player, one that is platform specific (tied to the platform of origin directly) and the other that is game specific (only exist in destiny). My solution would be to use the name that exist in Destiny only as this would likely eliminate having to go through a multi-platform permission process.  Stadia being able to access a friends list in Destiny and would allow for communication with those members without the use of 3rd party apps, the goal.  This was less a question on what to do and more of a how to fix (possibly) post. I hope this post is able to reach the appropriate people and push the development process forward.

I have a question about how to start in game voice chat with others on different platforms? Bungie released voice chat in game earlier this week and (this may be a dumb question) I'm not sure how to start it.   I changed my privacy settings as recommended but I'm not seeing exactly where I would go to actually initiate the chat. Is it located in stadia chat settings? Can it be started in game? Do my friends already have to be on my team to start it?

I'm curious if any data exist or if anyone would actually know if the Chromecast Ultra has a similar or maybe even a better performance than the Chromecast that is currently available with the plug & play package offered? When I say performance I mean the latency of the stream & the streaming quality.  I am a big first person shooter guy and I like the idea that I can max out my overall gaming experience. To be honest my setup is working absolutely perfect but if one system were to perform better then I would get that in place of the CCU I currently have. Just curious.

My issue is related to the response of my controller, specifically the R1 an R2 buttons. I play destiny 2 and in using a sword (I've tried various with the same result) during damage phases after 4-5 button presses the controller becomes unresponsive for a few seconds. This only happens with sword use an only when I'm playing on my CCU connected to my TV. This happens 100% of every time I try it. My setup is a wired connection CCU to 1G up 1G down fiber. Wireless control of course. Game runs ultra smooth an this is my only hiccup at the moment.  I've seen others have a similar experience but I wasn't sure if there was an actual fix to this issue or if it's even a CCU  related issue. Anyone have any feedback on this?

Yes, thank you! Initially I had some trouble but after resetting my 2nd controller and inputting the correct wifi information it worked great. The trouble I had is that I have a wifi mesh system (the source of my problem) that my controller was not connecting with. After connecting the controller with my ISP router everything came together nicely. Thanks again!

So I'm looking to connect a second controller to my stadia account. I have two chromecast ultras and two controllers. My main chromecast is connected via ethernet and the controller is connected to wifi. My second chromecast ultra is connected via wifi (to the same account) and I'm looking to connect my second controller to that 2nd unit (or either unit) via wifi.  Can this be done??

My internet is rock solid. I got ethernet directly connected to my CCU and ping test shows a concrete 986 mbps down / 939 mbps up w/ 22ms latency. Again, I don't believe it's my internet but I understand fluctuations do happen.  That said, I experienced my issue while on the tangled shore for about 45 seconds to almost a minute but its was pretty awful. Once I got to the next section (vex simulation) it went away & I didn't experience that again. To be honest, I also didn't run another one.  It worried me because I hadn't seen that before. But you're probably right in that it might be the game itself.

The maintenance occurred early afternoon for me and I experienced the problem about 6 hours after the maintenance window closed. Unless, it quietly continued??  I'm not really sure, it's not a big deal as it only occurred the one time. However it did frame drop REALLY bad. I was just fishing to see if it's a "one off" issue or something else.  Stadia is fantastic and Destiny looks great on it. This just caught me off guard.

Last night I was playing D2 and during a Vex override, mid-battle, my stream bogged down. Like, way down. Frame drops & input lag. Once I progressed past the congested fight it was fine.  I got a direct fiber connection to my CCU running 1000 mbps up & down. I understand that fluctuations occur but I don't believe it's on my end.  To be fair, I haven't come across this before but is it still possible to get bogged down on Stadia with high action scenes?
