My son's account is showing up on the family dashboard. It is also part of the Google family (outside of Stadia). But there are no gameplay limit settings visible anywhere on the family dashboard.   I've gotten in touch with support about it and they suggested to put it back to 18+ (which it was before, due to a wrong setting). In using my own credit card - which was already linked to my own account btw - it was possible to do "age verification" for him. A bit strange that the solution put forward by support is to lie to the system, but there you go...

30+ hours after the age change, my son: Can play division 2 as a shared game (but only on android) Can not see or buy division 2 in the store And I don't have settings to change his allowed age rating. So we want to buy a game, but Stadia won't let us. How does this platform aim to ever be profitable

I've tried on an android and via web (chrome) - on a windows and on a chromebook. I've tried in an incognito tab. All cases, there's no settings to allow certain ratings on my account and nothing to do on his account.   Funny though, the shared 18+ game won't launch on his chromebook, but it launches fine on his android. Still, we want to play Division 2 together and I can't purchase the game on his account

I updated my son's age in his account as apparently it was set up wrong. Now games have disappeared from the store on his Stadia account, and certain shared games won't launch (nor do they give a popup or a warning or anything - they just don't launch - that's not great UI you guys).  I'm assuming this is because the shared game is 18+. Now, as a parent, I should be able to change the age rating for my son on the Stadia Family Dashboard. However now, 10+ hours after the age change, it's still not appearing.  Is Google Stadia working with nightly batch jobs or something like that to process these things? Do I just have to wait a bit longer before the age rating settings will appear?
Simply changing the age doesn't work (anymore) as you need proof of age via ID or credit card.  If your age is <18, then your parents should be able to change the setting in the Stadia family page. ... See more...

If you've recently changed your age though, it can take a while for this setting to show up. Nightly batch processing anyone
Also, relevant, Steam does it. What I mentioned before. About owning the game once and multiplaying it with people that don't own a copy. They don't even need to be family. https://www.youtube.com/w... See more...

I'm on the Play family plan and haven't seen concurrency limits yet, but maybe haven't run into them. For me it would provide tremendous (I'd put this in caps but I don't want to come off as a shouter) added value if games could be played simultaneously. Let me explain. Me and my young son play games together (coop). As many games don't provide local coop, after finishing Darksiders, we're now playing the discounted Youngblood which had online coop. I had to send a buddy pass to an account I set up for him and then had to buy the game twice, once on each account, for us to be able to play together. He plays on the TV and I sit next to him with a laptop. (Yes we're streaming Stadia twice without any issues.) The way I look at it, we're playing the game once. I would like to pay for it once. Stadia basically introduced a sort of local coop using the built-in online coop and me using 2 screens. I'm willing to stay on Pro for a feature like that, but I'm not willing to keep paying twice for a game I play once. Anyway just my 2c concerning simultaneously playing a game in a family library.
I don't agree with your tone, but I do feel much for the pay-per-minute (second?) model.  I'm not sure it's viable though. Some games cost more per second of play time than others.

I'm not talking about those Pro perks, I'm talking about what happens with the bought (not claimed) games when you end your Pro subscription and the renewal date has come and gone and Stadia Base is not yet available. Your answer is basically the Pro vs Base pricing model explained, but it kind of assumes that Base is available. Which it isn't. I'm assuming nobody has been able to try this out yet, as nobody has yet reached their renewal date (Nov 19th - Feb 19th). But perhaps there was some communication from the Stadia team that I missed, hence my questions.

I have the Founder's Edition. The renewal date is fast approaching. I have bought a number of games which I should now be able to keep playing in Stadia Base if I were to end my Pro subscription.  But... There is no Stadia Base. Do I understand it correctly that I'll need to keep the Pro subscription for now as it is the only way to keep playing on Stadia? To keep playing the games I bought and payed for? Does anyone else feel that this is a rip off, or did I misunderstand the idea that after the included 3 months of Pro we would be able to seamlessly shift to Base with the bought games? Did the Stadia team make any announcements about adding free extension time to our Founder's / Premiere editions while Base is not yet available? (It would be the only fair play at this point, I feel.)

I tried Samurai a while back but don't remember any coop aspect there. Do you mean you can both play at the same time? Because I'm looking specifically for cooperative games: me and my son against the computer, not against each other.    Most games seem aimed at online multiplayer instead of local, but it feels wrong to have to pay twice to be able to play a game together.
Tried it out with both controllers attached, works like a charm.

No "coming soon" claw on my Google store yet...

Bunch of complainers. Get free games and you're still ticked off. I get it, you already bought the game, but it's not like that money is "wasted". You will keep that game if you move to Stadia basic, the rest of us wouldn't.  Also, what were you expecting? Additional *new* games a week after initial release already? Give the people some time please. Game studios aren't going to invest heavily (time and money) on releasing a new game on an "unproven" platform (ROI wise), that would not be a smart business move. And this is exactly what we're seeing today. Given a solid business case (i.e. they can make money on Stadia) there will be more development for the Stadia platform, new games immediately launched on Stadia together with other platforms or perhaps exclusively on Stadia, etc.  Have patience.

Use a bunch of go backs until you find the main screen and then you'll find couch multiplayer.

I can't see the comments of other users, only add a comment myself. This comment has probably been made a million times already (or, well, 162 times), but as I can't see the other comments I can't just kudos them.  It's great there are special promos for Black Friday. Thank you for that! Just be sure to keep them alive until we Founders can actually access them, mkay?  (He said, looking wistfully at his Stadia controller, hoping against hope to hear an email arrival "ping" so he can just start something up for a minute and get a feel for playing on Stadia.)
