I'm not so sure it's really successful thus far.  It may be the biggest cloud gaming launch, but it's being hammered by almost all the critical reviews; granted I think they are inexperienced with cloud gaming and not really a fair comparison directly compare to a console/pc.  The first successful cloud gaming service was OnLive but it has its own issues.

I agree some compensation is warranted given the issues around the launch, especially towards the delayed hardware deliveries and, most importantly, delayed invitation codes.  You can throw in the lack of other services they said would be there.  It does not have to be much, but something to indicate that they're acknowledging the issues.  A game would be good.  I would say Assassin's Creed Odyssey since it was the public beta game.

Another person who has received their hardware but no invitation code.  Order June 7, 2019.  Received today (November 20, 2019) at 11:16am PST.   I checked the SPAM/JUNK box, and nothing found.  Got the "Tips" email for Stadia.   I already installed the Stadia app on my Android phone, but one cannot move past the unlock screen where one enters the invitation code.  Cannot setup the Stadia outside the app.  Tried connecting to the PC via the USB A-C cord included with the Founders Edition hardware and going to Stadia.com, but the website only has information about Stadia or portal to order the Premiere Edition.   And like others, online chat unavailable.  Put in a request for a phone call, but been over thirty minutes thus far.  I cannot find an email address to send an email for a status update or just to complain.  Some of us have responsibilities and thus are wasting our valuable time. From what I have read, Google is stating we should receive something by the end of the week?  This is not right based on what they said at the time of the pre-order that we would have access day one (November 19), be able to setup user name first (also implying be able to do so prior the launch day).  Based on how they set this up, the invitation code is more critical than the hardware since many of us have controllers that are compatible with the service--Xbox, PS4, etc. Hopefully, they will do something to compensate for broken promises what many of use based on purchasing decision on.  Thus far, this is disappointing and leaving a significant impression.  Microsoft's xCloud, although in beta, has been a significantly better experience.
